We are all perfectly imperfect and are always deserving of love. I am Jennifer Gwen. I help women make subtle shifts to lead a more conscious healthy lifestyle. For over 2 decades, I have designed products and rituals to help women feel beautiful inside and out.

So often, we may not feel beautiful, confident and lovable. There are many days I struggle with this, and reflecting on the day of this photoshoot, I remember that I felt bloated and unattractive; I cried in the car. I wanted to cancel. I did my mantra and affirmation work. I got grounded, and submerged in the river, sat in meditation. I called to mind my purpose, my gifts and what I am meant to bring forward in this lifetime.

This year began with another difficult diagnosis of not one but three ovarian cysts, one complex cyst, measured 9cm (size of a small grapefruit). The pain became unbearable. On top of my ENDO and PERI-meno, I have struggled with painful ovarian cysts off and on my whole life. I had a massive one that ruptured, I passed out and I ended up in the ER.
So you can understand my trauma when my Gyno once again said only option was surgery or "wait a bit and see." Still not addressing my diet, or supplements, to my relief she increased my dose of natural progesterone, and come back for another ultrasound in 3 months.

I continue to be my own healer and advocate for myself.
I committed to anti-inflammatory nutrition, balancing my hormones through food, natural hormone replacement, and targeted supplements like omega-3, DIM, magnesium, Vitex, and customized Chinese Herbs from my Acupuncturist. I ditched processed sugar, alcohol, gluten and dairy. I focused on liver support and gut health, stress reduction through yoga. Given the extreme pain I was in this time around, I enlisted a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist who also administered Shockwave therapy.

Fast forward 3 months later: my most recent ultrasound showed NO cysts. None! 
Healing is possible when we listen to our bodies and trust ourselves. If you're dealing with recurring cysts or hormone struggles, know this: there’s hope beyond the pill, which disrupts our natural infradian rhythm and only prolongs the inevitable.
