Honoring a true hero in our community!❤️ This Veterans Day, we celebrated our very own WWII veteran Tom Copeland, who recently turned 101 years young. 🎂

Tom shared his incredible wartime stories, from enlisting at just 18 to fighting across Europe, with our friends at 3TV | CBS 5.

His courage, humility and humor continue to inspire everyone here at The Park at Surprise. We’re so proud to call Tom part of our family.😊

Today, and every day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans, especially those who make up our cherished community: our residents, staff, and their families. Thank you for your service. ❤️

🤩We had our six year anniversary party, and it truly was such a par-tea. We had our take-home gifts at the captains table, where we made their own tea ☕️ infusers while drinking tea. We had our beer and 🍷wine pairing, in are very own victory bistro. Lastly, we had our blind taste testing 🥇competition between residents and staff in our billiards room. Lastly, live entertainment with a great surf and turf entree. We finished this fabulous event with a succulent blueberry parfait that harmonized everything together perfectly.
All the feedback was raving positives, all saying that this was the best party yet and the best food in the six years that we have been here. Every year we want to go beyond and exceed the last, so we definitely succeeded. The theme was a classic 🌹🌿🌼🍃🫖garden party. .. and classic we are.
❤️Thank you to the residents for being with us for our 6 years, we can’t do this enough to show how thankful we are of you. We 🍾celebrate you as we should, every chance we get. We also want send a huge thank you to our staff that made this a smooth and seamless event. Happy 6 🥂years to us, and to many more to come. 👌❤️

What a wonderful dessert for our residents tonight, for a great finish to a fabulous Friday dinner.

What makes our community so special?
Well for one, our Ambassador club is phenomenal. Monthly, we either have a private dinning lunch or dinner in one of our unique entertainment rooms. Tonight, it shall be the Captain’s Table. Our ambassadors here help with the newest members of our building, by helping them feel that they are not alone. They were in their shoes before, but welcome home. Ambassadors invite them to breakfast/dinner, bring them along for an activity, introduce them to others around the building, so then the new kid on the block feel uneasy feeling isn’t there. They transition into this new life and new style, like they have been here for years already. We can’t forget…the little special gift from Management and goodie bags from us, will add that special touch of who we are. We are all about the details, as everyone here may know. But now you do too. Welcome to The Park at Surprise Independent living, we have been waiting to serve you like the ladies and gentlemen that you are.
