Dear Patients, Visitors, and Vendors,
As you are aware, there has been much discussion about the COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus) and the United States is dealing with a national pandemic. We, as a company are taking a proactive approach to prevent the spread of illness among our patients by following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and our state and local health departments.
Our patients’ health and safety is a top priority. The hospital has a strategic plan in place to limit the spread of all infections including COVID-19. We have reviewed our current plans and are reinforcing good health practices with patients, visitors, vendors, and employees. As of today, we are implementing the following restrictions:
• All face-to-face sales or business-related calls not related to direct patient care should be rescheduled as virtual meetings (conference calls, Skype, or other video-capable technologies).
• Service/support activities that require your presence in support of direct patient care (including patient education for home equipment) may continue as normal business routines. However, all on-site visits must be coordinated with the relevant department prior to entering Cobalt.
• Representatives who are providing maintenance services and/or repair equipment or facilities should coordinate on-campus activities with the relevant department prior to entering the facility.
• Contracted service providers should coordinate on-site activities with their Cobalt assigned supervisor to determine when physical presence is required.
• Be advised that on-campus face-to-face access can be revoked or meetings cancelled at a moment’s notice should staff believe the meeting is non-critical, suspect you are exhibiting symptoms common to COVID-19, or your presence places you at risk of coming in contact with COVID-19.
Please comply with these temporary measures which will be in place through April 30 to ensure the health and safety of you and Cobalt patients and staff.
Anyone who is even mildly symptomatic should refrain from visiting the hospital and send a representative in your place for appropriate visits.
Thank you for your patience as Cobalt continues to prepare and adjust to this evolving situation.
While we have had no suspected nor confirmed cases of COVID-19, we are taking measures to ensure the safety of our patients and employees. Please contact the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Clinical Officer with any questions about our preparatory plans for our ongoing safety of our patients and staff.
