Fire Horse Counseling Life is a journey and sometimes it can be a challenging one. There is no perfect or right way to navigate it.

As a therapist, I meet you where you're at, help you build a map and provide you the tools to manage obstacles along the way. Do you feel like you are climbing up an endless mountain with no direction? Are you tired of being driven by emotional responses? Pain comes in many forms- current relationships, family, social messaging, trauma and transitions. There is no perfect or right way to navigate these things. If you are tired of being driven by emotional and reactive responses or are looking to resolve things that just don’t feel right, then let’s talk. I work with motivated individuals who are ready to explore the whys behind their discontent. I help you gain insight into your behaviors and address them in a way that helps you reach your goals. This may include exploring family of origin patterns, defining healthy boundaries, increasing communication and assertiveness skills, understanding shame and building resiliency, increasing connection and compassion, and/or focusing on healing past trauma.

This is a precious reminder to cherish our moments and be present in our day. When I think about death, my heart swells with gratitude and love for the blessings I have and it makes life all the sweeter. What sweet moments do you cherish?

The truth is we don’t know when our moment of death will come. It could be today, or tomorrow or weeks, months or even years from now. But when we allow ourselves to meditate on our death, it inspires the sweetness of life.

Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. I came across this video of the experience while researching information as I look to apply for a degree in marriage and family therapy. This work is in my future.
