Hennessey's Funeral Home Inc. previously McCawley's Funeral Home was founded by Gerald M. Hennessey and his son Richard M. Hennessey in 1980. In 1990 Gerald retired from the Funeral Home and it was run by Richard M. Hennessey and his wife Helene. In 2005 Richard's son Sean M. Hennessey came into the family business and is presently a full time licensed Funeral Director. In August of 2013, the business expanded and opened a crematory located at the same site as the Funeral Home, which is known as Church Hill Crematory. In May of 2019, Sean and his wife Kiera purchased a second Funeral Home in Deposit, NY. Previously known as Zacharias Funeral Home, it is now a second location of Hennessey's Funeral Home Inc. Hennessey's Funeral Home Inc. also provides a various selection of monuments that can be done with a wide selection of personal engravings. Over the course of 40 years the Hennessey's Funeral Home has been providing dedicated service to the families of the Susquehanna Community and its surrounding areas.
