Attention New & Existing Patients:

As many of my active patients know, Pete, Porter & I are expecting a new addition to our family in late May. If you are an existing non-active patient or planning on becoming a new patient, please know that I will not be accepting any new patients or new cases after the first week of April through August. If you would like to become a new patient now or have a new case that needs to be addressed, please do not hesitate as appointments are limited. I will be starting a new patient waiting list and will begin scheduling for August/September of this year. Baby Boy Rowe will be coming to work with me the first year and appointments will be more limited than usual so please don’t delay in getting on this list! Please note that there has already been a waiting list at the Montrose office with my regular business hours.

To my existing patients: A heartfelt "thank you" for your continued support and patronage. I posted 2 years ago about all the challenges I & the business have faced since opening and without each and every one of you I would never have been able to make a successful acupuncture & Chinese medical practice in Susquehanna, PA for 7 years and counting!

Last month marked the 5 year anniversary of Harmony Point Acupuncture, LLC! I started out as a dinky little clinic with an office/waiting room that had a small desk and 2 chairs with 1 treatment room. My family and I wondered if there would be enough interest in acupuncture locally for the business to survive. I now run a flourishing clinic with 2 locations and 2 treatment rooms operating simultaneously at each location (plus massage therapy!). I have weathered some intense milestones over these 5 years including business expansion, marriage, motherhood, burying my father, and the most recent struggle of the COVID19 pandemic. None of this would have been possible without my family or this community. If you have supported me over the years by lifting me up, spreading a good word about me or the business, as a patient, or even by supporting other local business so they too can infiltrate through the community I am extending a heart-felt THANK YOU! I am proud to be a member of this community and am looking forward to seeing what unfolds in the next 5 years!

COVID-19

As you are all aware, my clinic has always been open to those that are acutely ill, because Chinese medicine can help to mitigate illness and treat in a way that biomedicine does not. While we are fortunate to currently have no known cases in Susquehanna County, because of the serious nature of COVID-19 and in a real effort to protect the many patients that have underlying conditions which puts them at risk of developing serious complications and even death from this virus, we are requesting the following:

1. If you are sick or even feel like you are getting sick, please cancel or simply do not come to your appointment. (This means that for the foreseeable future, the missed appointment policy no longer applies.)
2. Upon arrival to the clinic please step immediately inside the bathroom and wash your hands
3. If you have recently travelled to an area where coronavirus is prevalent or believe you may have been exposed please allow yourself a two week period before resuming treatments.
4. If you’re feeling well come for an acupuncture treatment!! Acupuncture helps to boost the immune system and decrease stress levels, which will help keep you well.

Additionally, there are plenty of self-care techniques that we should all be practicing every day:

1. Eat a healthy, whole food based diet and drink plenty of water
2. Engage in moderate exercise - get some fresh air!
3. Get plenty of sleep
4. Keep stress levels at a manageable level

The goal here is to protect everyone. If you are sick, I am more than happy to consult with you via phone if you have more specific questions as to how Chinese herbal medicine or lifestyle changes may be able to help you. Thank you for your understanding and thoughtfulness for others during this unusual time.
