Sophia's Well: A Wisdom Center, Spiritual Community & Wellness Center

Our Story

Sophia's Well has a five-pronged service approach to spiritual well-being: 1) Meditation, 2) Wisdom Study, 3) Service, 4) Community, and 5) Healing Work. The "Inner-faith" spiritual community is particularly suited for those who: 1) Are "spiritual but not religious," 2) Desire a more inclusive, trans-religious, interspiritual or interfaith approach, 3) Are hungry for a more progressive and inclusive spiritual experience, are ready to break out of the traditional or conditioned mind-set, and/or 4) Prefer a more transpersonal, metaphysical, mystical or psycho-spiritual approach to spiritual development and transformation of consciousness. Rev. Dr. Patsy Walker Fine serves as the Spiritual Director. She completed programs in Foundations of Spirituality and Preparation for Ministry at Sancta Sophia Seminary, the educational arm of Light of Christ Community Church. Fine was certified as a spiritual practitioner in 2008 and in 2009 received a Certificate of Ordination endorsed by Light of Christ Community Church and the International Council of Community Churches. The Light of Christ Community Church is based on an Esoteric Christian which is inter-faith in philosophy and action, inclusive of the common core of trans-religious concepts found particularly in Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist, the Jewish Cabala and Indigenous Religions. An Esoteric Spiritual philosophy founded by such spiritual thinkers as H. Blavatsky, H. Roerich, A. Bailey, R. Steiner, among others forms the foundation of a new complementary and inclusive religious expression across cultures and faith traditions. Sophia's Well supports personal transformation through wisdom education for those seeking a greater understanding of themselves, the world, and their understanding of God; spiritual healing practices for those in need; spiritual care services for those seeking spiritual solutions to life's issues and problems; and a community of spiritual partners learning and growing together on their individual spiritual paths.
