💥 Burpees: the exercise everyone loves to hate… but SHOULD be doing. Rachael is back with another functional fitness tip, and today she’s breaking down why burpees deserve a spot in your workout routine (yes, really!!).

Burpees are a total-body powerhouse:
✔️ Upper body + lower body strength
✔️ Core stability
✔️ Cardiovascular conditioning
✔️ Fall recovery training (because the entire movement is built around getting down to the floor and getting back up safely)

And the best part? They’re fully modifiable.
Whether you’re crushing full-speed burpees or slowing it down into low-impact steps, you can train the same movement pattern at your level.

If you’re unsure how to modify movements for your body, or pain is holding you back, book an evaluation with Concierge! We’ll build a plan that keeps you strong, safe, and moving forward. 💚🏃

A 15-minute telehealth visit won’t catch everything. And a physical where nobody actually touches you? Even worse.

Nurse practitioner Erin Guarnieri and physical therapist Dr. Sean Lordan get real about healthcare’s current shortfalls and encourage patients to speak up.

If something feels off, say it. If you need more hands-on care, ask for it.

Advocacy + real assessment = better outcomes. Period.

🥇 One of the MOST underrated strength moves? The Carry.

Rachael breaks down why simply walking with weights at your sides is a powerhouse move for shoulder stability, core strength, and real-life function.

Why it matters: carries train the muscles that help you lift groceries, hold your kids, stabilize your shoulders, and keep your spine supported during everyday tasks. It’s functional strength at its finest, and it’s beginner friendly (two things we 💚)!

Try adding carries into your workouts 1–2x/week and watch your posture, shoulder control, and core endurance level up.

If shoulder or core weakness is getting in the way of your workouts (or daily life), book an evaluation with Concierge Physical Therapy and we’ll build a plan that works for your body & your goals.

But for adults with a condition called femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) syndrome, that motion becomes anything but smooth. FAI syndrome happens when the top of the thigh bon...
