Last night we brought our Sugar Hill, Sugarloaf, and Hamilton Mill referrals together for a one-of-a-kind hands-on CE course focused on innovative denture conversion solutions for full arch cases. Guests enjoyed a delicious steak dinner and drinks from Cuts Steakhouse while participating in the fabrication of a provisional Smart Denture Conversion prosthetic.

Our very own Dr. Chris Kim also shared insights from his own recent full arch cases, sparking an engaging and in-depth discussion among attendees. A huge thank you to Wayne Szara for leading the hands-on course and sharing his expertise, and to our sponsor ZimVie for helping make this incredible event possible.

Last week, our AOFS team had the pleasure of hosting our top referral partners from our Newnan and Fayetteville offices for an engaging CE course on Full Arch solutions with Dr. Jay Smith. The event, hosted by Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Yi and sponsored by Zimvie, featured a delicious dinner from Enzo and an evening of education and collaboration.

Dr. Smith shared valuable insights on the functional and esthetic challenges in implant dentistry, discussed evidence-based treatment options, and emphasized the importance of patient education and long-term implant care.

Yesterday was a great day to be a dental professional in Gainesville, GA! Our Gainesville team hosted a special Open House Lunchtime Block Party, welcoming over 150 local dentists and staff, a record turnout in AOFS history!

Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch from The Lunch Counter, sweet treats from King of Pops , and lots of exciting giveaways. Most importantly, everyone had the chance to tour our newly renovated office and meet Gainesville’s newest dedicated Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Chris Kim.

Dr. Kim is thrilled to be here! He is already providing exceptional oral surgery care to all of Gainesville and the greater North Georgia community. As a former general dentist himself, he understands the perspective of referring doctors and is passionate about building strong, lasting relationships within the dental community.

This month, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Jennifer Rakestraw, who has been a cornerstone of the AOFS team at Douglasville for an incredible 20 years!

As a Front Office Coordinator, Jennifer plays a vital role in handling checkout, ensuring that every patient experience ends with the same warmth and professionalism that defines AOFS. Her calm demeanor, attention to detail, and genuine care for patients make a lasting impression each and every day.

Brandy Whitaker shares, “Jennifer’s commitment to patient care consistently goes above and beyond expectations. She is always willing to assist wherever she’s needed, and her dependability plays a key role in ensuring the day runs smoothly. Jennifer’s positive, strong work ethic makes her an invaluable asset to our team.”

Outside of work, Jennifer is deeply involved in her church and loves exploring the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband Shane have been married for 27 years. They are proud military parents to their daughter Morgan, a United States Marine, and hold their daughter in Heaven, Caley, close in their hearts. Their Yorkie, Buddy, rounds out their loving family

Whether she’s helping patients at checkout or cheering on her beloved Georgia Bulldogs, Jennifer brings heart, dedication, and positivity to everything she does. We’re so grateful to have her as part of the AOFS family!

Pints 'n Pups 2025 was a Paw-some Success! 🍻🐾

A big thank you to everyone who joined us Monday at NoFo Brewery for our 3rd Biannual Pints 'n Pups Referral Appreciation Event! We had an incredible turnout, and it was amazing seeing so many familiar faces (and wagging tails 🐶) come together to support a special cause.

This event was hosted in partnership with Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters , Atlanta's largest nonprofit no-kill animal shelter, to help support pet adoption, donations, and volunteer opportunities. Thanks to Furkids, guests got to meet (and cuddle!) some adoptable pups looking for their forever homes—plus, many brought their own furry companions to join the fun!

Huge thanks to Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q for the delicious dinner and desserts, and to everyone who came out to eat, drink, mingle, and invest in your local dental community. Your energy and generosity made the night unforgettable.

Our Cu***ng, Dawsonville, and Johns Creek top referring dentists had the unique opportunity to fabricate a provisional Smart Denture Conversion prosthetic while following a simplified, systematic approach to planning and completing full-arch cases. Dr. Belinfante teamed up with Dr. Cliff Johnson at North Fulton Endodontics for a very important benefit this past weekend! In the spirit of giving back, they joined together with Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research to raise funds for childhood cancer research and awareness.

At AOFS, we cherish every opportunity to support our community in need, but it’s especially meaningful when we get to collaborate with our trusted partners in dentistry. It's even more meaningful when the cause is one that is near and dear to our hearts. Dr. Johnson's daughter is a childhood cancer survivor. We are grateful to North Fulton Endodontics for partnering with us as we join the Rally Foundation to raise hope and support for families everywhere affected by this horrible illness.
