✨ Update on Naomi ✨
Three weeks ago, Naomi strained her adductors (groin muscle) and it caused a slipped femoral epiphysis (SCFE). Despite home PT, her limp and left leg weakness worsened, so after lots of prayer and research, we took her to CHOA. X-rays confirmed SCFE, and she had emergency surgery the next morning at Scottish Rite. By God’s grace, everything went perfectly. 🙏🏻 Within a few hours, she was eating 🍜 walking with crutches, and meeting all discharge goals.
Since then, she has amazed us- off heavy meds, in bright spirits, and showered with tons of love, gifts and food from our close friends, family, neighbors, and her equestrian team. 🥹 💕 Yesterday she got her hair washed and cut- she can’t wait to take her first full shower tonight!
Naomi doesn’t let fear or anxiety take hold because she knows her identity in Jesus- that she’s a child of God and He works all things for good. 🌟 Her faith and resilience inspire us daily, and we can’t wait to see her back to riding and competing next season. 🐎💪
Thank you all for your continued prayers and love. God is so good, and we trust He’ll use this season to write an even greater story of healing. 💖
