Our Story
Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow, is the visionary father of the Peace Chamber project. The chambers are vessels that can and will help us create a new sound vibration supporting World Peace, Clean Water and rippling outward to the earth.
In August of 2014, Imani White (aka, Mz. imani & MamaMojo) became the care taker of the Swannanoa Peace Chamber. at the winter solstice, she held her first all night gathering in the chamber.
New Years Day we lit a fire in the new fire circle that has been built, of soil and stones from the land that was laying on the back of the chamber.
thanks to the good WErks of all who have come before us, the clear messages of spirit, and Mz. imani's courage and compassion, we have reKINdled this beacon fire of the Peace Chamber on the winter solstice (2014). we continue to recalibrate our selves, to this WErk, and we offer music to express gratitude and help the eARTh to know she is well loved.
Light Centers, Power Spots, Kivas, or ceremonial Chambers have been used for thousands of years by Native American Tribes to conduct religious and spiritual ceremonies as well as for purification and healing. Similar chambers have been used throughout the world by many cultures and people.
The rituals and ceremonies have varied from place to place and time to time. The basic principles and goals of developing inner awareness and understanding of the Universe and participation in the creation of a positive collective consciousness, were similar.
Ancient ceremonial chambers served an important function in providing a unifying force to help bond tribes together in common spirit, values and attitudes.
The ceremonies and rituals held within these chambers also provided a similar unifying force within each individual, teaching us how to hold balance between the physical, spiritual and mental aspects, there by managing the forces of the whole person.
Ceremonial Chambers and rituals crafted in this time, for this age, will provide a first step towards unity for us and the world as a whole. In a sense, we will be going back to ways where we can begin to work together, sharing visions and ceremonies that remind us, together, we are stronger.
We will remain present and future oriented with what we do in and with ceremonial chambers.
We support taking care of the eARTh, the trees, the ocean, the sky.
If you would like to volunteer or know more, please reach out to us. As of Dec 2017, we are close! Still tending to the land, and the details of returning the chamber to the people!
Peace Matters.
