Spring invites us to soften… to awaken… to gently emerge. 🌿

In this nourishing 90-minute Yin & Myofascial Release practice, we’ll open the body in a slow, supportive way—releasing tension, improving circulation, and waking up the connective tissue.

Just as the earth begins to thaw and new buds quietly appear, this practice supports your own inner shift—from feeling stuck or stagnant to more open, alive, and energized.

Through longer-held Yin poses, mindful breath, and simple self-massage techniques, you’ll be guided to unwind, release, and create space…

…for whatever is ready to bloom within you. 🌸

Join me for a deeply nourishing practice at Nanaquaket Yoga Studio this Friday, May 1st at 7:00pm. Details and registrations at https://www.nystiverton.com/

**New Podcast**

Grief changes us—but it can also guide us.

In this week’s episode of Growth from Grief, I’m joined by a fellow yoga teacher and friend, Mary Mullin, who shares how Kundalini yoga has supported her journey after losing her spouse.

We talk about:
✨ What Kundalini yoga really is
✨ A simple way to understand the chakras
✨ How grief shaped her path and her work with widows

Her story is honest, grounding, and deeply moving. And if you’re walking through loss—or supporting someone who is—this conversation may offer a sense of connection and possibility.

She’s also offering a free guide and a summer program for widows 💛

Spring isn’t always a big, joyful “fresh start.”

Sometimes it’s quiet.
Sometimes it’s tender.
Sometimes it’s just the smallest feeling that something inside you is ready to shift.

I invite you to join us for a 90 minute Gentle & Restorative Yoga Mini Retreat.

In this 90-minute in-person experience, we’ll move slowly and intentionally through:
✨ A grounding welcome circle + creative reflection
✨ Breathwork to awaken energy
✨ Gentle yoga flow
✨ Guided meditation
✨ Deep restorative rest

Essential oils, sound healing, and light touch will enhance your experience.

This is your invitation to pause, root down, and allow something new to emerge.

Are you feeling the shift from daylight saving time?

I’ve noticed it in my own body this week — fatigue, a shorter fuse, and a sense of being a little out of rhythm. Add the heaviness of the world and it can feel like a lot.

Yoga reminds me that when life feels unsettled, we can return to something simple: breath, movement, and presence.

Next Wednesday I’m hosting a virtual yoga practice designed to help you slow down, reset, and care for yourself.

If you could use a gentle pause in your week, you’re warmly invited to join me.

Wintering with Compassion

Winter invites us to slow down, soften, and turn inward. In many wisdom traditions, this season is connected to the Water element—our emotions, intuition, and inner world.

This class is not about fixing what you feel, but learning how to be with it—grief, fatigue, fear, or tenderness—with compassion. Through gentle yoga, breath, sound, journaling, and restorative rest, you’ll be guided into a space of deep listening and care.

If your heart feels heavy or your body tired, you are welcome here. 💙

I invite you to join me and Linda Shweiri for this 90 min program The Soul Purpose in Swansea, MA on Saturday, January 31st at 1:00pm.

Creating Safe Havens for Grieving Families: A Conversation with Erin Nelson

In this week’s episode of Growth from Grief, I speak with Erin Nelson, Executive Director of Jessica’s House, about her powerful journey through loss and the healing community she now leads.

We talk about how children process grief, why modeling grief matters, and the simple, human ways we can show up for one another—especially during the holidays.
A deeply moving and hopeful conversation.

Across cultures and faiths, this time of year invites us to pause and remember those we love who are no longer here in body, yet remain in our hearts.

From All Souls’ Day to Día de los Mu***os, remembrance is both sacred and healing — a way to keep love alive through light, story, and ritual.

In my latest Growth from Grief episode, I share reflections and simple ways to create your own day of remembrance — anytime your heart calls for it.

Light a candle. Speak their name. Remember the love that endures.

Through slow movement, breath, sound, and simple ritual, we’ll release what no longer serves and welcome in self-love—especially when it feels far away.

Come as you are. Leave feeling held, grounded, and a little more at home within yourself.
