Still gleaning with joy after leading a mushroom and herb walk with .craft and last weekend at Northwoods Nature Festival.

I intend to get some mushroom walks on the schedule for this summer and fall season! If you have a group you’d like to schedule with me I’d love to talk about that too!

My focus is on medicinal fungi, specializing in mushrooms that you can use at home for your health. I do still know plenty of edible mushrooms, and herbs 🌿

I also love to share how to approach nature with a new lens, allowing it to become a place of peace and being. I cannot imagine life without the relationship with nature that I have, and I feel everyone can have their lives changed by creating their own relationships with nature. Fungi, are a portal to that!

Many new beginnings in this exhilarating chapter of my life and Elden Medicinals!🍄‍🟫

Thank you for the incredible photography 📸

Next Sunday at .herbshop and apothecary from 1-3pm I’ll be hosting my favorite class on Michigan’s Medicinal Mushrooms where we will focus on learning how to identify and use highly beneficial fungi for your health. 🍄‍🟫

I’ll be covering bonus areas such as survival, bushcraft, and indigenous uses. Each person walks away with a profoundly deeper understanding of fungi as a whole and ready to begin their own foraging journey— or at the least, know which mushrooms they want to look for!

I’ll be hosting a raffle (I call it the truffle shuffle) for some mushroom extracts as well as a copy of my book! As always, I’ll be sharing my famous mycommunitea, my fungi and herbal root tea blend throughout the entire class.

Can’t wait to see you there! Mush love 🍄‍🟫

Northwoods Nature Festival was so incredible!
It was an honor being in the presence of renowned herbalists such as , .craft and . This years gathering was small and intimate, and really allowed for incredible discussions on indigenous wisdom, regenerative agriculture and food forestry, mycology, herbalism, and holistic health. Meaningful connections were created over this weekend that will permeate into the world for years to come .

I was originally scheduled to do another event this weekend, so I wouldn’t have been here (this event happened where I now live at StrongHearth Lodge and retreat center) but it got cancelled last minute. Also, they had someone cancel that was supposed to do a mushroom walk, so I was able to fit right in and be involved. That’s the mycelial network at play 🍄‍🟫🤭

This was also the first event here since moved here back in February. They did such an excellent job hosting and the energy of the space was set up perfectly for this event. Thank you!!🙏🙏

Really looking forward to next years event and am feeling incredibly inspired!😼

My extracts and craftsmanship has dramatically improved since I began this journey in 2023. Even with an out pouring of positive testimonials on my mushroom extracts as they have been, I knew there was a lot of room for growth!

Using clinical grade ultrasonic technology, and upgrading my techniques and equipment in every step of my process has resulted in an optimized and refined mushroom health product. I want my people to have the best outcomes possible, and you will!

From forest to bottle, I craft each small-batch with intention and love— backed by modern science and traditional wisdom. As I continue to expand, I intend to move into feline, canine, and equine mushroom products (did you know medicinal mushrooms are incredible for our fur babies too!?), as well as glycerite blends for kiddos and others that cannot intake alcohol. I also am working on expanding to extract powders which means I can make things like drink powders, capsules, and even mushroom coffees!

There is a specific way to go about each of these to do this right and many skip these steps for the sake of capital gains. There’s a lot of expensive marketing and poor quality mushroom products on the market that I see people taking all the time. I intend to craft the most conscious and effective mushroom health products out there. No fluff, all shroom!

I talk a lot about the mushroom industry and how to do things right in my book, if you’d like to read further on this topic!

Snag your mushrooms at my original price before the change on 6/1/26!

My sincerest thanks to all do you who support me. Whether it’s encouragement, attending my classes, buying my extracts, tea, or book, a post like, comment, or share— it all means a lot to me.

Mush love and happy shroomin’!

My book is also now carried at in Hartford, MI.

My next workshop is at .herbshop in Ypsilanti, MI on May 31st. Tickets are available for purchase through the link in my bio or by visiting my events on my page!

So ready for this season of teaching, mushrooms, and growing!🍄‍🟫

Most gut health products do not address the microbiome AND inflammation at the same time. This is key when trying to shift from “mystery” conditions that modern medicine only knows how to manage like IBS, colitis, SIBO, and others.

My wild-foraged turkey tail dual-extract is hand-harvested in Northern Michigan and made completely by me in a privately owned state-certified facility from forest to bottle.

Turkey tail is such a gentle yet powerful support to grow our beneficial gut flora while suppressing pathogens. It also positively modulates our immune systems, and even helps our liver with natural detoxification.

If you’re looking for a clinically supported natural support to uplift your microbiome, digestive function, immune resilience, and overall energy and vitality— my turkey tail is an excellent choice.

Turkey tail is a big topic nowadays for good reasons. Not only is it extremely abundant in the wild, but it has some of the most research and human clinical trials on it of any mushroom.

In Asia, turkey tail is used alongside allopathic chemotherapy treatments. It is a normal part of the medical and health system. Let’s bring this safe and effective practice here to the US. It grows in the woods all around us!

Can mushrooms cohabitate on the same log? The answer is, yes! While indoor cultivation focuses on singling out one species and eradicating the rest to eliminate competition, mushrooms thrive on it.

I found four species of medicinal fungi on one downed birch tree. Two of those I found, birch polypore and tinder polypore, are featured in my wild-foraged mushroom blends.

This video is a great example of why I prefer and know that foraged mushrooms are superior to farmed mushrooms. Dealing with the elements, they become stronger and more diversified in their compounds. This has been proven in multiple studies as well. Similar to how we become stronger when we workout, and when we don’t, we are weaker.

While there are pros and cons to every method and I think there are good reasons to go from wild or cultivated mushrooms— it is the wild healing I desire and that only comes from the woods.

I’m enjoying making more foraging videos! Please like, comment, and share with your people, it helps a TON!

Want to learn how to harvest medicinal mushrooms properly? There are a number of ways to do it while different foragers have their preferences, my methods intend to harvest the mycelium the least, respecting with prayer and gratitude, and using the most efficient harvesting techniques.

The techniques I use here cross over to many other kinds, however I will be making more videos exploring other methods to use in certain situations as well as specific mushrooms!

What kind of foraging videos would you like to see!? Let me know in the comments below. Please like, and share this video with those that are wanting to get into this or learn more! It helps a ton!🍄‍🟫

When you harvest mushrooms in the woods, how do you properly pack them out? There are different strategies for different mushrooms. For the heartier varieties, link the birch polypore seen in this video or conks like the red-belted polypore or artist conk, mesh bags are an ideal choice.

Once harvested, mushrooms use their remaining life force to drop as many spores as possible. It is a way of integrating reciprocity into your foraging ventures.

I dive deeper into skills like this in my book, Wild Healing with Medicinal Mushrooms: Therapeutic Use & Foraging of the Midwest and Northeastern United States. It is available now on eldenmedicinals.org in paperback or digital as well as my Etsy store. The links in my bio will take you there! 🍄‍🟫

Mushroom season is upon us (except for me it’s always mushroom season). Happy foraging fam! 🌲
