Rolling Plains Drug Court Foundation

Rolling Plains Drug Court Foundation The Rolling Plains Drug Court works to support and assist the Nolan County Drug Court. What is a Drug Court? It helps the offenders to stop criminal activity.

TECHNICALLY:
Drug courts are judicially supervised court dockets. Drug courts provide a sentencing alternative of treatment for people living with dangerous substance use and abuse sometimes coupled with mental health issues. Drug courts facilitate a remedy focused court system where the view of public health is the process using a especially designed model where the judiciary, prosecution, defe

nse bar, probation, law enforcement, mental health, social service, and treatment communities join as a team together to help substance abuse offenders into a recovery that is long term. PRACTICALLY:
Drug court help the offenders change his or her life. Drug court helps to provide consistent responses to drug offenses among the judiciary. Drug courts can foster coordinated ways to deal with the offenses of offenders between different agencies to give a more cost effect manner to help substance abuse offenders through an intense rounded approach for treatment. Success of the treatment for the offender could result in dismissal of the drug charges or shortened or suspended sentences in order that the offender can have success so they can build a new life without substance abuse. What is Our Part as a Community? WE are community. We are not separate. We all need each other, this means the courts need us, the health professionals need us, the participants in drug court need us. Sweetwater and Nolan County is a supportive community. Please consider doing your part to enlarge this support in our community. How Can I Help?

*You can donate restaurant or grocery store gift cards for $10 to give a participant who progresses to the next level.

*You can give a cash donation to the Rolling Plains Drug Court Foundation to help support the Nolan County Drug Court needs for occasional assistance in getting a participant help when they are in a crisis situation. This is an amazing project! We recognize the need for it and have had participants who would have greatly benefited from its implementation. We eagerly anticipate its launch!

Thanks to our friends at Renewal Renovations, the exteriors of our Buzzi House and Atmos House are now finished! Next, we will focus on the interiors, as well as the onsite laundry facility and counseling office made possible by our friends at FMC Sweetwater TX. Amazing things occur when a community unites! Just imagine how incredible this property will look once all ten houses are completed. More importantly, consider the countless lives we can transform! You can play a part in making this a reality. If your church, company, or organization is interested in funding a home, please reach out to us. For more information, you can also visit www.lifehouse.love/community.

Did you know that it's National Su***de Prevention Week? Two major contributors to su***de are feelings of isolation and the sense of being a burden. You can make a difference in this area. Reach out to someone; send that text simply because they crossed your mind. Let those around you know that they have a place where they belong. If you're facing challenges yourself, don't hesitate to reach out. Remember, you are not alone. ***deprevention
