What a pack full start of October!
Very busy lunch service last Science Thursdays
Saturday BBQ Competition went as expected at Anamosa Smoke N Pumpkins BBQ Competition with a few goal in mind;
1.) to show up,
2.) to have fun,
3.) meet & greet some of Iowa’s Best BBQ Pit Bosses & meet new ones
…with no practice this year, we placed,
-8th, in Ribs (1st last year)
-12th, in Chicken
Congratulations to all winners! Big shout out to Family Tradition Bbq for the delicious biscuits & gravy for breakfast.
Congratulations to our friends at Chester's Twisted Que for winning Grand Champion & our friends at Bbq Pit Bros for Reserved Grand Champion. Well deserved!!
Kudos to Jon & Matt F at Matty Mack's for a great event. Hope to see ya next year!!
Big shout out to Anthony, a family friend and a culinary student at Kirkwood Hospitality Arts Center atKirkwood Community College for jumping in big to experience what Iowa BBQ Society sanctioned and Kansas City BBQ Society Backyard BBQ style competition is all about. This was a great opportunity to advocate the other side of the culinary world.
Way to go buddy! Not many culinary students in the area have had this experience.
Sunday was the most amazing of all.!
I got to worship my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at the Carver Arena among many, the very first worship in Carver history led by The ELIM Arrival
So grateful to have the opportunity to feed and serve the servants of God, my church family & pastors & many others whose hearts are on fire for Jesus.
Gearing up for another beautiful wedding this weekend in Monticello and food truck lunch service at Science Thursday.
