General E. “Buddy” Muncy, 74 of Holden, WV formerly of Columbus, OH departed this life on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, at Trinity Health Care. He was born on September 28th, 1951, in Mingo County, WV to the late Ell and Lena Muncy.

Buddy enjoyed family time, fishing, four-wheeling, and playing guitar in church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernie Muncy and Brice Muncy; one sister, Ellee Dingess; grandparents, General and Mary Bryant, Ed and Martha Jane Marcum.

Those left to cherish his memories are three brothers, Bonell (Shirley) Muncy of Switzville, WV, Galen (Phyllis) Muncy of Barnesville, OH, and Ricky Muncy of London, KY; two sisters, Lavonn (Danny) Clay of Delbarton, WV, Pearl Anna McCloud of Columbus, OH; special nieces, Regina (Michael Jeffery) Dingess, Angie (Reynold) Hall; special nephews, Crayton Dingess, Travis Dingess; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, WV.

In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated following the services.

Darlene Carletta Jackson, 68 of Logan, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13th, 2026, at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV.

Darlene was born in Logan, WV to the late Bland and Issadella Gaiter. She graduated from Logan Senior High School. After high school, she started working at the National Bank of Logan until it closed. She then went on to work at the White and Browning Building as the elevator operator. Darlene is a member of the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ of Taplin, WV; where she became a licensed minister and led devotion.

Darlene is preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Tommy L. Jackson, and her brother, Raymond Gaiter.

She is survived by her two daughters, Porshia and Constance Jackson both of Logan, WV; her brothers, Bland H. Gaiter of Tabb, VA, William H. Gaiter of Cleveland, OH, Arnold G. Gaiter of Arizona, Gregory P. Gaiter of Huntington, WV, and Ronald E. Gaiter of Logan, WV; her sisters, Sharon D. Coleman of Chapmanville, WV, and Lucille L. Gaiter of Logan, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, March 27, 2026, at Original Glorious Church of God in Christ of Taplin, WV (10256 Hanging Rock Highway, Man, WV 25635.) Burial will follow in at Guyan Memorial Gardens in Godby, WV.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

Denny Jude, 81, of Gilbert, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2026. He was born January 12,1945 in Gilbert, WV to the late John Jude Sr. and Minta (Simpson) Jude.

Denny shared many happy and loving years with his beloved wife, the late Shirley (Hatfield) Jude. Together they built a life centered around family. His family was one of his greatest joys, and he treasured the time they spent together.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Denny was the owner and operator of Jude Coal Company and also worked many years as an independent equipment operator. Through his work he earned the respect of many in his community and was known as someone who believed in working hard and helping others when he could.

Denny had a special love for cooking and bringing people together. He was especially well known for his open-fire roasted chickens, which became a favorite among friends and neighbors. For many years he also hosted an annual chili cook-off, creating memories and laughter for all who attended. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many hunting trips with his brothers and friends, moments he cherished deeply.

A man of faith, Denny was a Christian and of the Freewill Baptist faith. He loved the Lord, his family, and the many friends who filled his life with companionship and fellowship. His home was always a welcoming place, and he truly enjoyed the visits, stories, and laughter shared with those he loved.

Denny was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley (Hatfield) Jude; his son, Scott “Rocky” Seafeldt; six brothers, John Jude Jr., Jack Jude Sr. , Roy Jude Sr., Sonny Jude Sr., Dexter Jude Sr., and Rex Jude; and two sisters, Judy Jude and Beulah Jude.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Jesse Jude Sr.; his sisters, Martha (Lgleason) Adkins and Naomi Harrison; along with many extended family members, friends, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness, generosity, and friendship; his special niece, Amy Jude, who called and visited him frequently; and his special caregiver Emily Pack who took such good care of him.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel, Switzer, WV. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service commencing at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Browning and Rev. Roger Endicott officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, West Virginia.

Ernest Gene George, 85 years old, of Switzer, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1940, in Hazard, KY and was the son of the late Albert and Eula (Couch) George.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Irene (Mitchem) George; brothers, Astor George, William George, Jerry George, and Kenny George.

He faithfully served as a deacon for more than 20 years at New Hope Assembly of God in Switzer, WV. He deeply loved his church and his church family. Through his heartfelt testimonies and by playing the harmonica for the Lord, he uplifted and encouraged the spirits of everyone who heard him.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his brother, Thurman Douglas George of Virginia; caretakers, Matilda Workman and Dakota Jones both of West Logan, WV; sisters in law, Audrey Hilbert of Chapmanville, WV and Dorothy Lewis of Ohio; and his church family who he oftened referred to as the “nuts and bolts of who held him together.

Kimberly Dawn (Tomblin) Diamond, 63 of Omar, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan, WV.

She was born on November 22, 1962, in Logan County, WV and was the daughter of the late Jesse Franklin Tomblin and Elizabeth (Meadows) Tomblin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Herbert and Margaret Diamond; two brothers, Bill Tomblin and Darrell Tomblin; sister, Wanda Faye McCoy; one special friend, Linda McGrew; and sister-in-law, Millie Diamond.

She was a retired florist where she loved working alongside her sister, Faye and her friends whom she developed a lifelong friendship with at Heavenly Host Flower Shop in Logan, WV. She was a dedicated and faithful member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church in Rossmore, WV.

Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her husband of thirty two years, Charles Joseph Diamond; two sons, Tony Adkins and Jason (Jill) Diamond; two brothers, Bobby Tomblin and Michael (Liz) Tomblin; five sisters, Trish (John) Gower, Mary Roop, Donetta (Jim) Diamond, Verna Diamond, and Pam (Steve) Hapney; grandchildren, Josie Diamond, Myleigh Adkins, Jaxon Diamond, and Jett Diamond; her own personal nurse and caregivers, Genea and Raegan Quick; and her special friend, Faith Conn.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 8, 2026, at New Life Freewill Baptist Church in Rossmore, WV with Pastor Alvis Porter, Jr., Pastor Joseph Vance, and Rev. Michael Tomblin officiating.

A visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service.

In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated following the service.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Omar Grade School, Logan Regional Medical Center, Cabell Huntington Hospital, specifically the Edwards Cancer Center, and Trinity Nursing Home.

Mac Arthur Frye, 74 of Whitman, WV departed this life on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at his residence. He was born on September 4, 1951, in Logan County, WV and was the son of the late Claude and Armenta “Helen” (Spurlock) Frye.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Gale Frye; and a host of other siblings. From 1968 to 1973, he faithfully and honorably served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War conflict.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes three sons, Owen (Christie) Frye, Aaron Michael (Lorna) Frye, and M.J. Frye; daughter, Andrea Frye; and sister, Wanda Ellis.

Larry Dale Farley, 74 of Chapmanville, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV. He was born on October 1, 1951, in Logan County, WV and was the son of the late Lloyd Farley and Gladous (Workman) Farley.

He was a retired machinist from Logan Plating. He was a faithful member and dedicated deacon of Morning Star Freewill Baptist Church of Striker, WV for over thirty years. He enjoyed sports and music, but most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandsons.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his loving wife of fifty-four years, Elizabeth Hope Farley; son, Matthew (Stacy) Farley; brother, Phillip (Alice) Farley; sister, Neva Sue Marlow; three grandchildren, Hayden (Mollie Kirk) Farley, Jacob Farley, and Jonah Farley.

David Arthur Fields “Block”, age 56, of Logan, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 20, 2026.

Born on October 7, 1969, he was a retired surface miner who worked hard throughout his life and took pride in providing and caring for those around him. Known for his big heart and generous spirit, he was always willing to lend a helping hand or share a warm meal with friends and family.

He loved to cook and was happiest gathered with others, whether it was around the table, playing darts with friends, or enjoying the outdoors riding side-by-sides. David had a deep appreciation for square-body Chevys, and all things classic and mechanical. Two of his greatest joys were his boxer, Chief, and his cat, Jolene.

David will be remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and the simple, meaningful moments he shared with those he loved.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann (Maynard) Fields.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Mearl “Bo” Fields; his brother, James Green; along with many special friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel in Switzer, WV.

Sarah Elizabeth Sullins, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She went to her eternal rest in the loving arms of Jesus.

Sarah was born on May 2, 1944, in Barnabus, West Virginia. She enjoyed her early years there before later moving to Chauncey, where she built a life centered family and love.

Sarah’s most cherished treasure was her family. She devoted her life to caring for those she loved and found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and welcome. She was known for her servant’s heart and gracious hospitality, always making sure everyone was fed, cared for, and surrounded by love.

Sarah especially enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family and gathering everyone around the table. She enjoyed camping trips to East Lynn Lake, family vacations to Myrtle Beach, and making lasting memories with her children and grandchildren. Sarah spent her life putting others first, quietly and faithfully showing her love through her constant care and selflessness.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Walter Carroll Sullins; her loving daughters, Lucy (Chuck) Vinson and Leah Sullins Kinzer; her granddaughter, Brittany (Jacob) Long; her beloved great-grandchildren, Brody, Grayson, Carter, and Cannyn Rose Long, her brother, Billy (Debbie) Russell & sister, Murial Kay (Melvin) Meade. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, James Alvin and Lucy Ellen Russell; her sister, Rosella “Rosie” Carpenter; and her brothers, Buddy and Bobby Russell.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sarah’s life on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Collins Funeral Home in Switzer, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with a brief service and burial to follow at the family cemetery in Chauncey, WV.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Sarah’s legacy of love, care, and devotion to her family will continue to live on in each of us.
