Wayne Anderson Vance, 53 of Mud Fork, WV passed away at home with his mother on December 18th, 2025.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a loved man who brought so much laughter into the lives of everyone around him. He always had a gift for spoiling all of the children. His love for deer hunting and stories he would tell from being in the mountains at 12 Pole will last a lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Freelin and Lona Sargent; paternal grandparents, Mose and Mary “Maw” Vance; brother Paul “Punchie” Vance.

Those left to cherish his memory includes his wife, Tabitha Vance; daughter, Savanna Vance (Zack Malone); granddaughter, Eden; grandson Maddix; and son, Ethan Vance whom he loved with his whole heart; father, James Vance; mother, Debra Vance; brother, Freelin “Peanut” and Becky Vance; sister, Ernestina “Pidge” and Justin Blankenship; brother, James “Punkin” and Tina Vance; nephews, Ralph “RJ” Adkins, Tyler and Rachael Vance, Hunter and Mollee Vance, Paul Curtis Vance, Jace Watkins, Dakota Spaulding, Cole Vance, Braxton Vance, Austin Fillinger, and Alex Fillinger; nieces, Elyssa Vance, Kacey Adkins, Marissa Vance, Lillyauna Hershman, Paula Vance, and Michelle Vance; Keith “Fonzie” Kennedy who Wayne loved as a brother; and a host who of great nieces and nephews who loved their silly, Uncle Wayne.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 27th,2025 at Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church on Route 44 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

On Oct.13 2025 Lucille Lynn Diana Nicole Dawn Wheeler (Lucy) daughter of Damien and Raven Wheeler, sister to Rohan Wheeler Blessed the earth with her presence. Unexpectedly and Heartbreakingly on Dec. 14 2025 age 8 weeks and 6 days precious Lucy went to be with the Lord.

Despite Lucy's brief time here she was loved deeply and brought immense joy to all. Lucy enjoyed being held close by her parents, playing with her brother Rohan, and being read to by her mom.

Lucy will forever be loved and remembered by her parents Damien and Raven Wheeler, her brother Rohan Wheeler, Grandmother's Julie Rowe and Christal Mayhorn, her Godmother Mary Codispoti Redmond, and Godfather Cody Redmond, Great grandparents Hershel and Debra Rowe, Richard Jones, and Juanita Steward. Her Aunts, Asia(Rodney) Short, Amber Brown, Ashley (Robert) Jenkins, Krystal Eldridge. As well as cousins Tionna Eldridge, Ashleigh Eldridge, Krysten Eldridge, Braxton Short, Braylynn Brown, Kolby Burgess, Callie Short, Chole Short and by all who knew her.

Lucy was greeted in heaven by her cousin Lexi Grimmett, Great grandmothers Linda Spanfellner and Lisa Jones, as well as Great Great grandparents Iwilda and James Allen.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, December 21st, 2025 at West Logan Church.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, December 22nd, 2025 at West Logan Church with Pastor Scotty Dingess officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV.

Magdeline (Ellis) Manuel, 78 of Horsepen, WV entered her heavenly home, December 13th, 2025, from her residence. She was born September 3rd, 1947 at War Eagle, WV.

She was the daughter of late Hollie Ellis and Janie (May) Ellis. Magdeline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she found her greatest joy spending time with her grandkids and family, rearing an environment filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. She was known for her kind heart, welcoming personality, and truly never met a stranger. She kept all those around her laughing and will continue to do so as her memories will always live on. She had a huge impact on all that knew her.

Maggie was a disabled house wife and enjoyed every minute of it and found laughter in teasing those who still worked. She loved going to church when her health allowed it, talking on the phone with her friends and family, and searching social media. she was of the Christian faith.

Those left to cherish her memory includes her son, John (Melissa) Manuel, Jr. of Gilbert Creek, WV , two daughters, Melinda (Winfred) Bradford of Gilbert Creek, WV and Shelia(Tim) Collins of Gilbert Creek, WV; grandchildren, Cassie Collins of Gilbert Creek, WV, Bonnie Ferrell Horsepen, WV, Brandon (Emilee Herrick) Ferrell, Hannah Ferrell, Bradley (Faith) Ferrell, Jackson Ferrell, Brooklyn Kissinger, Natalie Manuel, and Johnathan Manuel; sister, Tessie Hurley; brothers, Andy Ellis, Arthur Ellis, Jack (Joann) Ellis, and Larry Ellis; and a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ernest “Bean” Eugene Drummer Jr., 55, of Shamrock, West Virginia. Born on April 4, 1970, Ernest was a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and member of his community. He also was a proud graduate of Marshall University, band member of Logan High School, and fraternity brother of Alpha Phi Alpha (Epsilon Zeta Chapter). He left this world with a reflection of the faith and kindness he shared with all who knew him.

A man of deep faith, Ernest found solace and strength in his relationship with God. He spent many quiet moments reading his Bible, often turning to scripture for guidance. His commitment to his faith was evident throughout his life, and at the young age of 16, he proudly became a deacon, a role he cherished and served with humility.

Ernest’s love for his community extended beyond the church. He was an avid fan of classic Crusade movies, often reflecting on the lessons they taught him about courage, faith, and perseverance. His time as a dedicated member of his church family allowed him to connect with many whom he held close to his heart.

Ernest was known for his unwavering integrity, his ability to lift others up, and his gentle yet steadfast presence. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service to God and his family.

He is survived by his family and friends, who will continue to carry his memory with them, always remembering the impact he made on their lives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest “Bobby” Eugene Drummer; brother, Christopher Drummer; grandparents, Shelby and Catherine Collins, Walter and Mossie Drummer; and uncles, Shelby Collins, Jeffery Collins, and Forest “TC” Trammell.

Ernest is survived by his mother, Sandra Kaye Drummer; his siblings, Catherine Turner, Sandra Drummer, and Natalie Drummer. He is also survived by nieces Kiara (Phillip) Jenkins, Kristiana Drummer, Kiana Minter, Jayona Minter, and Ivy Drummer; and nephews Tommy Turner, Jamal Minter, and Kyrell Minter; and aunt Marguerite Trammell. Additionally, Ernest is remembered by a host of cousins (special cousins Shelby “Peanut” Person and Forrest Allen Trammell) and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 27, 2025 at St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church. (13 Genesis Lane, Logan, WV 25601)

With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of Nancy Eloise Collins, who departed this life on December 3, 2025, at the age of 81 surrounded by her family.

She was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Eloise was born on September 11, 1944. She was the daughter of the late William Abe and Letha Mae Maynard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dana Ray Maynard and brother, Ronald Maynard.

Some of her greatest joys in life were family, laughter, and decorating for the holidays. One special love of hers was dancing, especially at Pickin’ in the Park.

She is survived by her son, Sammie Jo Robinette, his children Patrick Robinette and Hannah Adkins, grandchildren, Xavier and Maycee Robinette; daughter, Nancy Davis (Mikey Marine), her children, Randall Frye (Kendra Kholer), Kelli Frye (Greg Glick) grandchildren, Parker Green and Randalinn Balentine, another son, William (Sue) Robinette, children, Lori Stover, Regina Mitchell, Tommy Mitchell, and Tonya Lambert, grandchildren, Austin, Brycen, Prestyn, Dakota, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Cydnee, Jordan, and Landon; special friends, Jane Brown, Zelma Duncan, Hunter Epperheart, and a special granddaughter, Shaylyn Farmer; brother, John (Roberta) Maynard; along with a host of other friends and family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2025, at Switzer Freewill Baptist Church in Switzer, WV with Pastor C.D. Wolford officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV. Pallbearers will include Greg Glick, Mikey Marine, Patrick Robinette, Brycen Nelson, Dakota Stover, and Randall Frye.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at 12:00 pm.

Leonard Dewayne Hobbs, 58, of Logan, West Virginia, passed away at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV on November 25th, surrounded by the love of his family.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved man who brought so much light and laughter into the lives of everyone around him. His humor was effortless. He had a gift for making people smile — even on their hardest days. He was a cherished father, friend, and companion whose joyfulness touched all who knew him. He had a special love for his coffee and purple gummy bears that we are sure God had waiting for him when he got there.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Arbutus Green; his father, Leonard S Hobbs; and two brothers; Ernest Green and Delmer Green.

Those left to cherish his memory includes his daughters; Paige Hobbs and Polly Hobbs of Logan, WV; grandchildren, Carter Duncan and Liliana Kiser of Logan, WV; brothers, Larry Hobbs of Logan, WV, Gary Hobbs of Logan, WV, and Elmer Green of Logan, WV; sisters, Pamela Cooper of Logan, WV, Brenda Hobbs of Logan, WV, and Marilyn Benedict of Hopkinsville, KY; his companion, Leanne Curnette of Logan, WV; and several nieces and nephews that he loved like his own.

Anita Gay Crum (nee Callaway), age 73, of Columbia Station, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 5, 1951, in Logan, West Virginia and has been a resident of Columbia Station for the past 47 years. Anita was a member of the Island Road Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking for her family, singing, and making quilts. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and nothing was more important to her than taking care of her family.

She is survived by her children, Toshi Crum of Columbia Station, Marsha (Joseph) Kennedy of Walbridge, Ohio, Timothy Crum of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Sarah (Corey) Bing, Zachary (Lexi) Kennedy and Aaron (Molly) Kennedy; great grandchildren, Aubree Bing, Bennett Bing and Charlotte Bing; siblings Danny (Debbie) Callaway, Linda Blevins, and Michael (Lisa) Callaway; and many nieces and nephews.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Crum; parents Elizabeth (nee Curry) and Laden Callaway Jr.; brothers, Harry Callaway and Tommy Callaway; and sisters, Janet Clark and Donna Hensley.

Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville Saturday November 15, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The family will also receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of services at 12:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home 5452 Jerry W HWY, Switzer, WV 25647. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mills, WV.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to the staff at Cypress Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Anita.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia (Blankenship) Vance; stepdad, Columbus Vance; sister, Peggy Farris; and sister, Connie Swims.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family and listening to country music.

William “Porky” Wolford, 49 of Hampden, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on February 23, 1976, in Man, WV, and was the son of the late William and Carol (Bailey) Wolford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Steven “Pig” Wolford.

He recently gave his life to the Lord in July 2025 and was baptized at Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer in Hampden, WV where he was also a member. He worked for Kings Tire Company. Porky enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He loved playing with his grandbabies more than anything, who was the light of his life.

Those left to cherish his loving memory includes his loving wife of thirty-two years, Kimberly Wolford; two daughters, Bayleigh Wolford, and Taylor Wolford; brother, Jammy (Mary) Wolford; three grandchildren, Axel, Aila, and Tucker; and a host of special hunting and work buddies, family, and friends.

Keith Eric McCoy, 52 of Switzer, WV departed this life on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at home. He was born on October 6, 1973. He was a 1992 graduate of Logan High School where he was a member of the football team and a catcher for the baseball team.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Cleatis McCoy, Jr of Sarah Ann, WV; paternal grandparents, William Cleatis McCoy, Sr. and Anita McCoy of Logan, WV; maternal grandparents, Delmos and Della Dalton of Verdunville, WV; and his mimsie, Jeraldine Bailey of Switzer, WV.

Keith is survived by his mother, Rita Deptowicz of Lorain, OH; daughter, Haydon McCoy of Hoover, AL; son, Eric McCoy of Switzer, WV; two grandchildren, William Carter and Sophia Rose Currier of Hoover, AL; two sisters, Karen (Kenny) Ferrence of Lorain, OH and Jennifer (William) Vernatter of Crooked Creek, WV; two brothers, Josh (Kaylee) McCoy and Shawn Deptowicz of Lorain, OH; step mother, Caren Bailey- Keffer of Spencer, WV; a very special friend/aunt that was always there for Keith when he needed a friend, Elizabeth Bailey of Switzer, WV whom he resided with; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly.
