This morning at our weekly “Getting to Know You” coffee, along with some great conversation and a moment of remembrance for 9/11, we had a special treat made by residents, Pat & Glenn…Swedish Rice Pudding. It was very good! Thank you for sharing Pat & Glenn.

The adventures continue during our celebration of Assisted Living Week! This afternoon we had A Zoo to You from Huntley set up a petting zoo in our community’s courtyard. Residents, staff and residents’ families had a great time with all the animals! We had Milly, the cow, lots of goats, sheep, a hen, and chestnut, the bunny😀

We went back to the 1950’s today for our Ageless Adventure! We even had a 1950’s car, owned by one of our team members! Staff was dressed in their fifties attire, along with refreshments in our 1950’s cafe soda fountain🧋. We followed the afternoon with entertainment from Dante’. We sure had a day full of fifties fun😃

Unconstructed Taffy Apples… the easy way to eat a Taffy Apple! Slice some apples and dip in caramel🤗. Finished our day with these!

Our adventures for Assisted Living Week have begun…
We started today with an adventure to a local apple orchard. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and of course had to have apple cider donuts! Some enjoyed a cider tasting at the cider house😋
