Did you enjoy that extra hour of sleep? Your body might still be adjusting!

When we “fall back,” the sudden shift in daylight can disrupt your internal clock — even if it’s just one hour.

Try these quick reset tips to keep your sleep on track:
🌤️ Get outside in the morning light, it helps reset your circadian rhythm.
🕐 Keep your bedtime consistent all week.
☕ Avoid late-day caffeine (your body’s already tricked enough).
A little routine helps your body feel steady, even when the clocks aren’t.

Did you know your body temperature naturally drops before you fall asleep? ❄️ This is your body’s built-in signal that it’s time to rest.

A cooler environment — ideally 65°F to 68°F — helps you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.

So if you’ve been struggling with restlessness, try turning the thermostat down a bit tonight! 🌙

Narcolepsy is a chronic neurological disorder that affects the brain’s ability to control sleep and wakefulness. It’s often misunderstood as simply “being tired,” but the symptoms go far beyond that.

Common signs include:
💤 Excessive daytime sleepiness – falling asleep at inappropriate times despite getting enough rest.
💪 Cataplexy – sudden loss of muscle tone, often triggered by strong emotions like laughter or surprise.
😨 Hypnagogic hallucinations – vivid, dream-like experiences as you’re falling asleep.
😶 Sleep paralysis – temporarily being unable to move when falling asleep or waking up.
🌙 Disturbed nighttime sleep – frequent awakenings or restless nights.

Recognizing these symptoms early can help with diagnosis and treatment.

💤 Thinking about a sleep study but not sure what to expect? Here’s what a typical night looks like:

🕗 8:00 PM – Arrival
Check into our center and get settled into your private bedroom.

🛏️ 8:00–11:00 PM – Pre-Study Prep
Our technician will place small electrodes and elastic belts to monitor your sleep. Most patients find they’re still able to fall asleep comfortably.

😴 11:00 PM–6:00 AM – Overnight Monitoring
Your sleep is carefully observed while you rest. Technicians remain awake all night to ensure your comfort and safety.

☀️ 6:00 AM – Morning Wrap-Up
Electrodes are removed, you’ll have time to shower if available, and you’ll be on your way by 7:00 AM.

A sleep study is painless, safe, and gives our team the insights needed to help diagnose and treat sleep disorders like sleep apnea, insomnia, and more.

☕🌍 Today we’re celebrating International Coffee Day! Coffee is part of many morning routines, but it can also impact your sleep if you’re not careful.

Caffeine can remain in your body for up to 8 hours, making it harder to fall asleep and stay asleep. For those with sleep disorders like insomnia or sleep apnea, limiting caffeine in the afternoon and evening can make a real difference.

Tip: Try to enjoy coffee before 2:00 PM to protect your sleep quality at night.
