Pin It Up Acupuncture

Pin It Up Acupuncture Bringing 3,000 Years of Health and Wellness to Main Street! What is Pin It Up Acupuncture all about? "Life is too short to live any of it in misery.

Pin It Up Acupuncture came into being as a combination of a need and desire to help people; and as a personal journey to reclaim my identity postpartum. Pin It Up is here to help free everyone from mental and physical pain through the use of pins and words, so they can find their truest joy and authentic self. We want everyone to embrace and cherish each moment we have on this planet, as well as to bring joy and authenticity to everything they do in their lives. With each smile and act of kindness given freely to one another, we strive to create a ripple effect and create life changes for the better. We want those ripples to change the world. We work it one pin at a time; one personal smile at a time. If you're in pain that smile is often dulled, or not there at all, and your presence in the world is muted. We want to create a new narrative, new world, and embrace the presence of joy. Life does not need to be a struggle. Life should be a celebration everyday you're still here." -Hannah Sykes

In the early hours of Sunday morning in Catonsville, Maryland, small businesses were targeted — windows and doors smashed, registers stolen, spaces ransacked.

These aren’t just buildings. They are dreams, savings accounts, family sacrifices, late nights, early mornings, and years of risk poured into something meant to serve a community.

When small businesses are violated like this, it doesn’t just impact one owners; it ripples through employees, families, neighbors, and the entire town.

Catonsville deserves better. Our small business owners deserve safety, respect, and support. This is heartbreaking. 💔

Tonight on Main Street in Sykesville, our community showed up for each other. 🤍

We gathered peacefully to support neighbors who are scared and hurting because of how ICE has been handling recent situations. There was no chaos, no anger — just calm voices, open hearts, and a shared belief that people deserve dignity, safety, and compassion.

Sykesville reminded me who we are. We stood together. We listened. We cared. I brought snacks, because that’s how I know to show love — and because community work is always better when you’re fed.

To anyone who feels unseen, targeted, or afraid: you are not alone here. We see you. We stand with you. And we will keep showing up.

Happy Epiphany! 👑🎉
Also known as the official start of Carnival season—which means it is absolutely, unquestionably King Cake time.

Today we busted into the most bougie King Cake straight out of New Orleans, and let me tell you… this is not a drill. Fluffy, rich, perfectly indulgent, and already setting the tone for everything between now and Mardi Gras.

May your days be festive, your treats be unapologetically extra, and may you not be the one who finds the baby (unless you’re ready to host 😏).

Enjoy your Carnival season, friends. Let the good times roll. 💜💛💚

✨ New Year’s Eve done right ✨
Spending NYE at Katana in Eldersburg and WOW! they really know how to put on a spread. Thoughtful, abundant, and such genuinely amazing hosts. 🍜🥂

If you haven’t been: you can dine in or grab carry-out the rest of the year (which is clutch), and the ramen is chef’s kiss every single time. Comfort food, elevated, and made with care.

10/10 would ring in the New Year here again. 🎉🍥
Support your local gems.

To each their own. Happy New Years Eve!

I know this just hit everyone’s phone and it’s important to be aware of this variable.

Weather patterns such as extreme heat and storm conditions have been linked to migraine attacks, and research shows those environmental conditions are becoming more common.

⚠️ Weather + Bodies Check-In ⚠️

We’re heading into a rapid barometric pressure drop today (about 1 millibar per hour), and for many people that can translate into headaches, joint pain, sinus pressure, fatigue, mood shifts, or flare-ups of chronic inflammation.

If you’re someone whose body feels the weather, this is your reminder to take preventative care over the next few days — not just reactive care.

✨ Gentle ways to support yourself:
• Hydrate well (add minerals/electrolytes if you tend to get headaches)
• Keep warm — especially neck, low back, and joints
• Prioritize sleep and lower your schedule if you can
• Eat warming, anti-inflammatory foods (soups, broths, cooked veggies)
• Go easy on sugar, alcohol, and inflammatory triggers
• Gentle movement > pushing through pain
• Acupuncture, massage, gua sha, and heat can be especially supportive right now

This isn’t “all in your head.” Rapid pressure changes affect fluid balance, tissues, and the nervous system — and some bodies are simply more sensitive.

If rest is what your body is asking for, that counts as care.
Take it slow, listen closely, and be kind to yourself over the next few days. 💛

Remember weather can cause symptoms in your body to increase. It’s nothing you did. It’s the planet. And we just live here.

For those of you sensitive to weather shifts, enjoy the weekend, but get ready for the week ahead. An approaching cold front on Monday will likely ramp up discomfort due to a slight pressure drop followed by a sharp pressure rise and influx of colder air. Heightened aches and pains, especially for fibromyalgia, headaches, migraines, arthritis and autoimmune diseases, will peak from Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning. Fortunately, conditions should ease back to more comfortable levels by later Wednesday and Thursday.

Plan accordingly and prioritize self-care, which can be a challenge with the New Year’s holiday thrown into the mix.
