Meet Dr. Pooja Chugh!
Dr. Pooja Chugh is a compassionate and experienced general dentist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized and comprehensive dental care. A graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Dr. Chugh earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in Richmond, Virginia, and also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Western Kentucky University.
With nearly seven years of clinical experience, Dr. Chugh has practiced dentistry across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland in a variety of private practice and academic settings. Following dental school, she worked in cosmetic and surgically focused practices, expanding her expertise in restorative, implant, and aesthetic dentistry. She is a graduate of the Implant Pathway curriculum in Arizona, where she trained under Dr. Justin Moody in advanced implant dentistry. She continues to pursue extensive continuing education to provide patients with the most advanced and highest quality dental care possible.
Dr. Chugh provides comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages and offers a full range of preventive, restorative, cosmetic, and implant services, including crowns, veneers, dental implants, and clear aligner therapy. She believes in creating a calm, comfortable, and welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and confident in their treatment decisions.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Chugh has served communities with limited access to dental care through community health centers and volunteer outreach programs. During dental school, she volunteered for three consecutive years with the VCU Mission of Mercy (MOM) Project in Grundy, Virginia, and also participated in the university’s Jamaica Dental Mission Project.
Dr. Chugh also has an academic background in dental education. She previously served as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Instructor in Restorative Dentistry at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry and as the Associate Program Director for the GPR Program at the Cleveland Dental Institute.
“It’s incredibly fulfilling and rewarding when I can contribute toward improving someone’s quality of life. Through dentistry, I’m able to connect with patients and make a meaningful difference in my community,” says Dr. Chugh.
Dr. Chugh lives in Columbia, Maryland with her husband and their baby girl. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, traveling, yoga, and pilates. She believes that maintaining a balanced and mindful life allows her to bring warmth, empathy, and genuine care to every patient she treats!
