WestBridge Vocational was excited to have our Pre-ETS students participate in the NCWorks Career Center-Macon County NC VR Financial Readiness Event for individuals with disabilities! đź’Ľđź’°

Thanks to NCWorks and Vocational Rehabilitation, Franklin High School, and Bartram Academy, students gained essential financial skills—reading paystubs, writing checks, understanding credit scores, managing checking & savings accounts, and more. This morning, our Swain High School Life Skills Pre-ETS class took on the Builder & Holder game, a fun and engaging activity using tennis balls to promote collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.

Through teamwork and patience, students worked together to complete the challenge—building essential skills for life and the workplace. It was a great way to learn, grow, and have fun!

Our Pre-ETS students had a blast with this fun and engaging activity. The challenge was to build the tallest paper tower using only 20 pieces of scrap paper, tape, and scissors.

This hands-on exercise encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity—all essential workplace skills! It was inspiring to see each team strategize, communicate, and collaborate.

The WestBridge Vocational team came together this week for our Annual Holiday Luncheon. Our management staff prepared delicious sides, and the barbecue was provided by B & Al's Grill. Thank you to everyone who made the meal possible.

The celebration continued with a Gingerbread House Contest showcasing fantastic creativity and a lively Dirty Santa gift exchange that brought plenty of laughs and holiday cheer.

We’re so thankful for our team and our shared sense of community. These moments of connection remind us of the joy and strength we find working together toward our mission.

Our Story

Previously named Webster Enterprises of Jackson County, Inc., WestBridge Vocational is a 501 (c) 3 community nonprofit organization. We provide contracted program services for the North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Our staff of experienced education and training professionals work with more than 100 clients a year to improve their job skills and employment marketability through evaluations and tailored training plans. Our employment specialists work with clients on resume preparation, job interview skills, job searches, and, once a client finds competitive employment, on-the-job training and coaching.

Production of disposable medical devices is the financial mainstay of WestBridge Vocational, and allows the company to meet the ever growing need for training and job placement of individuals with disabilities and disadvantages. WestBridge Vocational is a leading manufacturer of medical devices for major companies whose clients are world wide.

Our manufacturing staff is dedicated to producing quality products which conform to FDA, ISO, and other standards.

Westbridge Vocational provides training and opportunities for individuals in Jackson, Macon, Swain Counties and the Qualla Boundary in Cherokee, NC, who have disabilities or disadvantages that present barriers to employment.
