FYI: As of 4:35pm the snowfall has stopped. The Board has checked the road - we have a total accumulation of 8 to 12” from the entry gate to the top of the mountain. With expected high winds, low temperatures, and possible tree damage, we have ordered the plowing of the road. Jeff Polson Plowing and Tree Service will start as soon as possible, likely tomorrow around noon and complete the entire road by Sunday evening. In the meantime should anyone need help or assistance please feel free to contact Ron or any other board member.

A winter drive on the gravel section of Parris Branch with about 8" of fresh powder. It's still snowing lightly. I saw some animal and people footprints - glad to see people are out walking - enjoy the weekend and the beautiful white landscape!

Looks like we faired very well, roads are completely clear, and no ice reported at all!
Keep in mind we still have very cold temperatures coming. Here is the official alert:

Scott Farmer Grading Inc. helped us take care of some drainage issues today. Our roads are open. They’ll be back tomorrow to finish up and clean up - big thanks to the Scott Farmer team!

SVRA Notice:

On Tuesday, November 4, weather permitting we are planning to improve drainage on Basswood and Parris branch roads.

Road equipment will be on location starting tomorrow and will be in use on our roads Tuesday, November 4. Between 10 AM and 4 PM.

Roads may be blocked or passage delayed on Basswood Ridge and Parris Branch.

**This will effect everyone on Basswood and everyone on Parris Branch Gravel road except Susan Blair.

This is a notice to everyone who lives within Sylva Vista. On Tuesday, November 4 weather permitting we are planning to improve drainage on Basswood and Parris branch. Scott Farmer Grating equipment maybe on our location starting Monday, November 3 and will be in use on our roads Tuesday, November 4. There may be times traffic will be blocked on Basswood or Parris Branch between 10 AM and 4 PM.
Please plan accordingly, should you need to arrive or leave the mountain between those times expect road blockage and delays.
