The physicians and staff of Mountain ENT are heartbroken to share the passing of Dr. Ben Douglas. Dr. Douglas was the founding member of Mountain ENT in 1985. For more than 35 years he served our community with tremendous skill, compassion and humor. This loss is especially hard for all of us fortunate enough to work with him. He was an extraordinary leader, a mentor and above all, a true friend. Please join us in praying for his family during this difficult time.

Our West Asheville/Candler office remains closed while we patiently wait for water to be restored to our area. Our Asheville staff has been relocated to our Sylva office for the immediate future. We are open and scheduling appointments in our Sylva, Franklin and Murphy locations. We remain committed to providing care to our communities and are happy to serve new or established patients by calling 828-586-7474 for assistance.
Thank you to all the first responders, power and water personnel and volunteers who are assisting our communities during this time!

UPDATE: In an effort not to disrupt the supply chain in our community, we do ask that you start by donating any extra supply you have on hand before purchasing from our local stores. Thank you for your generosity!

We have so many patients, staff members and families that have been devastated by the impacts of Hurricane Helene. We will be collecting supplies in our Sylva office that we will take weekly into affected areas where we have reliable distribution relationships. The most immediate needs are:
Disposable and Cloth Diapers
Adult Diapers
Formula
Baby Bottles
Cleaning Supplies
Bug Spray
Non-perishable Food
Reusable Bags/Grocery Bags
Shelf Stable Milk
Hygiene Products; Toothbrush/Toothpaste; Feminine Hygiene; Personal Cleaning Wipes
If you are a patient and have an appointment, or if you would just like to donate any of the above supplies, you may drop them at our Sylva office to be distributed in the coming weeks.

Our West Asheville/Candler office remains closed due to internet, phone and water outages. We are constantly assessing the situation. We will be contacting all patients to offer appointments in our other locations. We will be contacting all of our allergy patients that receive allergy shots in the West Asheville/Candler office with your options to continue to receive your shots during this time. Phones will be down today and tomorrow from 11-1 due to the changing of phone service providers. Please be patient with our staff over the next couple of days as we attempt to answer the influx of calls coming in later in the day and return messages as quickly as possible.

We are experiencing phone line issues - currently we are only having issues RECIEVING FAXES. Technicians have been notified and are working to remedy the issue- we ask that if you attempt to fax and get a denial please try again tomorrow morning as the problem should be remedied by that time.
