The word Doula, is Greek in origin meaning with women. My passion for doula work came after my own experience thu childbirth, you don’t know what you don’t know, and mainstream birth culture is soooo backwards, trust the doctor in the white coat, running off his statistics, rather than tuning into their own body wisdom. I had a Massage Client the other day who told me about her horrible breathing experience and how she didn’t even know there was such a thing as a Doula until after she gave birth just one year ago. The patriarchal idea of the last quite some time took the power away from women believing that if they knew that they hold the key to creating society that their poor little man egos would be overthrown, but see true woman power comes from power with, not power over . Did you know there’s a whole school on or****ic Childbirth, it’s all about the state of mind. There’s a rumble from quite a few of us to return the power of Birth back to the woman. Those of us who know what a formidable and empowering experience, Birth can, and should be! I am with a group of women who have some big things in the making. I gathered a few testimonies for the paperwork to push forward on an exciting new offering for the community! let’s raise our little ones n mamas up!!! YOUR BIRTHING EXPERIENCE MATTERS, YOU MATTER!!
