A few residents were able to get out and go fishing at Cooper's Creek Trout Farm yesterday afternoon. They had a blast catching some fish. Vero donated the caught fish to Cooper's Creek Trout Farm, who takes the fish to a community resource center who feeds the hungry and homeless.

Vero would like to thank our amazing rehab department for giving our staff and residents the Epic Sports Day they promised. Our residents and staff participated in their safe for all slip and slide with mock-tales. Also a shout out to our friends at Harris Hospice! Our residents and staff enjoyed the ice cream sandwiches from Harris Hospice as well on this beautiful day.

After we had an amazing mother's day tea we continued nursing home week on Monday with our Launch Day. Our residents and staff released balloons in our garden followed by galaxy lemonade and donuts. Later in the day we had a scavenger hunt with prizes for our residents and staff.

The staff and residents here at Vero would like to say thank you to K&M Seafood, Dunkin Donuts and our Administrator for helping kick off Nurse Week and National Nurses Day. It is with their help and donations we were able to get lunch for our Nurse, donuts for staff and residents and cake for our nurses and staff! We love our nurse and all they do for our residents here at Vero! A few of our residents wanted to take a moment and let them know that our nurses are the best.
