We have had a busy week! You may have driven by and wondered what is going on? Between the severe storms and Hurricane Helene our patio and stream bank had suffered erosion issues that could not be ignored anymore. We came up with a stream mitigation and restoration project with grant funding through NC. At the bottom of the stream are live stakes of native erosion control plants. Silky Dogwood, Ninebark, Button Bush, Elderberry and black willow. The Jute matte is organic with no plastic to hold the ground and allow the stakes to take root. Up top there will be a conscious planting of native plants and pollination plants. A BIG THANK YOU to Ken Brown at . Thank you to Eric Mathis for his skill and hard work. Stay tuned!
