As February comes to a close, we didn’t want the month to end without lifting up Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. 💛🧡

Teen dating violence affects 1 in 3 teens in the U.S., yet many young people don’t recognize the warning signs or know where to turn for support. As a community, we play an important role in helping teens build healthy relationships grounded in respect, boundaries, and safety.
At Sophia Center, we are committed to helping families and young people develop strong social‑emotional skills, strengthen communication, and recognize the signs of unhealthy or controlling behavior. Every conversation matters—and it’s never too late to start one.
✨ As we wrap up February, we recommit to:

Supporting youth and families with resources and education
Creating spaces where teens feel heard and safe
Partnering with schools and community programs to promote healthy relationships

We’re excited to share that registration is now open for our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Foundational Training!

This live virtual training provides 24 CEUs and is being offered at a grant-subsidized rate through Sophia Center’s Helping Families Program. Grant support allows us to significantly reduce participant cost while expanding access to DBT-informed care in our region.

Intended audience:
Clinicians, social workers, counselors, psychologists, school-based professionals, and others who support youth, adults, and families.
