LiRo-Hill’s knowledge in transportation, infrastructure, and public building projects has led to our involvement with some of the country’s top projects and landmarks, including the post-9/11 rebuilding of Lower Manhattan, the Number 7 Subway Line Extension, East Side Access, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, and the High Line Park. The study is the first of its kind to assess how flooding could economically impact more than 27,000 businesses across Nassau and Suffolk counties. LiRo-Hill is honored to be featured in The Main Connection Magazine: Blueprints for the Future, a Suffolk County Water Authority publication highlighting the Oakdale Campus. The Suffolk County Water Authority has begun work on a new Construction Maintenance building that will replace the current parking area with a modern, functional facility designed to enhance operations and support future growth. The new space will feature flexible meeting areas and improved outdoor spaces to better serve staff and the community. LiRo-Hill is proud to partner with SCWA in planning and designing this forward-looking facility that will help shape the Authority’s next chapter.

After a fire destroyed the original building, the Nassau County Police Department’s Second Precinct officially reopened on September 4th in Woodbury, NY. The new $30.95 million facility replaces the temporary trailer the precinct had been using for nearly three years, restoring a permanent, visible headquarters for the community. Those who attended the grand ribbon-cutting celebrated the joyous occasion, honoring a precinct that plays a vital role in keeping the community safe. LiRo-Hill provided fast-track architectural leadership, multi-disciplinary engineering design, and construction management services to help the County meet its accelerated timeline.
