Congratulations Gwendolyn Moore, NP, our February Spotlight Colleague of the Month!! Gwen joined the Dept of Geriatrics in January 2024 after working with the Geriatrics population for many years in both the Acute and Long Term Care settings. Her calm, positive demeanor is greatly appreciated by both her colleagues and her patients. Here is what some of her patients are saying “Gwen is outstanding. I have and I will recommend and tell everyone about her. She always listens to my concerns and treats my husband with dignity, kindness and compassion. Better late than never, but Congratulations to our Spotlight Colleague for January; Carrie Macknail!! Carrie joined the Dept of Geriatrics in 2024 with over 25 years experience in healthcare. Since joining the team she has demonstrated her kindness and compassion with our patients. Always willing to lend a hand, share photos for social media, pitch ideas for staff events, Carrie is the consummate team player. What our patients are saying “Carrie made me feel at ease from the moment we walked in, explaining each step of the visit to us so we knew what to expect”

Congratulations to our December Spotlight Colleague of the Month - Dr. Ozuna! After a short 18 months with the Dept of Geriatrics, Dr. Ozuna is moving on. His kind, calm, quietly caring, yet palpable presence will be missed. He is a great physician, responsive and always more than willing to help whenever asked, especially curbside endocrinology consults! As the only primary Spanish speaking provider her took great care of our Spanish speaking patients, making them feel comfortable and taken care of. We will miss him tremendously, especially the Big Mama’s Cheesecakes he would always provide!

A diligent and hard worker she has proven to be a tremendous asset to the Social Work Team. Always willing to lend a hand, a joke, a smile, and a comforting ear to listen, Faith demonstrates the true calling of the Social Work profession. Congratulations Faith!
