Most of the time, it's easy to get caught up in everything that you're doing and end up overlooking some of the absolute gems in our community. What I learned about this facility in just a quick afternoon tour should would make anyone want to support this community resource to the fullest. I am glad that I can direct many of the people I know or will meet who may not be the most secure with health insurance to this center. Healthcare is a big topic right now for many reasons. This center stands as one of the genuinely positive things you can discuss with those who may be looking for help!

Syracuse Community Health was founded in 1978 with a mission to provide high-quality healthcare to the residents of Onondaga County, especially those who are uninsured, disadvantaged or who face other obstacles to care. Since then, it has served well more than 100,000 neighbors across Syracuse and Onondaga County. CenterState CEO's Ambassadors, presented by Sidney Federal Credit Union, recently celebrated the one year anniversary of its expanded facilities with a certificate presentation.

As of today, the Corporate Transparency Act is still in effect. Which means business owners and beneficial owners (with at least 25% interest in a business) are required to complete the Beneficial Ownership Information filing as per the Reporting Rule.

- If your business or the business you have interest in was created before January 1st, 2024, your filing is due by January 1, 2025.

- If your business was created in 2024, you have had 90 days since notice of the business being established/registered to file.

Failure to file correctly carries a penalty to the tune of $591 per day after it is due. "Willful violation" may also be subject to two (2) years imprisonment and a fine up to $10,000.

So grateful that I was able to present this certificate to Central New York Ronald McDonald House Charities as a representative of both CenterState CEO Ambassadors and RMHC CNY's Red Shoe Society.

For those unaware: RMHC provides a warm and inviting place to stay for families of children with various health issues that are receiving treatment here in Syracuse. For many, the idea of having to travel back and forth from their homes outside of the city is an added struggle on top of what their children already deal with. The amazing team at the Central New York RMHC is dedicated to making sure the House guests are provided for and are as comfortable as they can be in these stressful situations.

The Red Shoe Society is the professional volunteering & networking group that aims to support RMHC as much as possible. We plan and participate in many different fundraising activities throughout the year. As Co-Chair of the Social & Membership Committee, I am always welcoming to those who can spare a bit more of their time to connect with like-minded individuals in supporting an organization such as this.
