It was a blessing to see so many agencies come together in support—and extra special to be placed right next to our nonprofit sister, Brunch & Bible, who we often partner with to help our clients thrive 🙌🏽

✨ Transformation is in the air ✨ As Second Chance Sisters steps into a new chapter with the rebranding of our Training & Beauty Center, we were humbled to receive an invitation from the CNY Community Foundation to document the work happening here at House of Psalms 23.

While outcomes matter, what truly tells the story are the voices of the women we serve. 💜 This week, Lori and Shamira two of the many incredible women walking through our doors were able to share their journeys, their triumphs, and their visions for the future.

✨ Meet our Keuka MSW Intern, Jeriesha Johnson-Martin ✨

Jeriesha is a dedicated wife and proud mom of two daughters, bringing both heart and expertise to her work. She holds an Associate’s in Human Services from OCC and earned her BSW from Keuka College in 2015. Currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Keuka, Jeriesha joins HOP 23 with over 5 years of professional experience serving diverse populations at Hillbrook Detention Center and Child Protective Services.

At HOP 23, Jeriesha will be supporting our mission through:

💻 Digital Literacy Education
👩‍👩‍👧 Working with Family Systems
🪞 Therapy & Healing Support

Thank you for supporting HOP 23 for the United Way Day of Caring!

The amazing volunteers you sent from NYDOH and United Way were amazing. Not only did they do an amazing job in helping us prepare for our big move to our new office space but they assisted in the remodeling of Anna’s Closet and 2nd Chance Sisters storefront!

We are so appreciative of this initiative and their time! To our amazing board members and staff we could not have done this without you!

Expansion is here and we are truly thankful for it 🫶🏾

What an exciting day! Sitting in a room filled with visionaries at the Healthy Alliance Kick off event with our newly contracted partner Healthy Alliance of CNY and colleagues from across the Central NY region. This moment marks a huge shift for our community, for Medicaid recipients, for CBOs, funders, care managers, and health professionals alike.

House of Psalms 23 is officially credentialed and contracted—we go LIVE in just a few weeks! We’re expanding our services to tackle socioeconomic barriers head-on, and we couldn’t be more ready.

Welcome to the Board!

We are excited to welcome SJ Sok (they/them), Director of Advocacy at Vera House, Inc., to the board. SJ is a 2018 graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where they earned a B.S. in Public Relations. They bring extensive experience in human services, legal advocacy, and program development, with a focus on improving outcomes for those in need.

SJ previously coordinated Onondaga County’s Centralized Arraignment Program, successfully piloting a model now used statewide. We look forward to working with them on grant development and strategic planning.
