We weren't "kidding" around this week - we had kids (baby goats), Snow and Beau, from "Ponies With a Purpose" visit us this week (awwwwww). And *then* the kids from Syracuse Hebrew Day School visited - and what a wild game of noodleball we had together! Who said anything about a generation gap?

It is National Assisted Living Week (NALW) and our residents invite you to take a peek at our week-long celebration series!

We started on Sunday with an outing to the opening reception of the Syracuse Jewish Family Service's Arts & Minds Showcase. SJFS leads 2 weekly discussion groups which support psychosocial wellness for residents at The Inn, so we wanted to support and appreciate some of the other wonderful programs they have at Menorah Park! Residents loved viewing the many wonderful art displays; speaking with SJFS Arts & Minds coordinator, Hannah Pietra, about the importance of creativity at all stages of life; and hearing from actual program participants about the positive impacts of SJFS for their well-being.

On Monday, we spread some cheer at home at The Inn. This year’s NALW theme is “Inspiring Generations,” so we've built this timeline of historical and personal events. With this living art display, we aim to reminisce on our own inspiring moments and educate future generations about the events which shaped us into the community members we are today. Stop by the 3rd floor elevator lobby to take a closer look and maybe even add some of your own inspiring events!
