An update I never imagined I'd need to make: last week Patrick was diagnosed with a form of cancer which originates from somewhere else in the body and has yet to be found. As a result, his transplant center has removed him from their transplant list, and he will not be eligible to be re-admitted until he's been cancer free for five years.

It's obviously very sad news for us, but we so appreciate all of you who have been following along, who have shared his kidney search, and those who have expressed interest in becoming a potential donor!

This page will likely remain inactive while we fight his cancer unless we can help share someone else's kidney search post. Please keep us, but especially Patrick, in your thoughts. Thank you!!

Medal Monday! This one is shared with my dear, sweet hubby as he participated in his first runDisney race, the Princess 5k!

For someone not in kidney failure a 5k may not seem like much, but add the miles covered the day prior at the race expo and the miles getting to the race, corrals and start line it adds up to far more miles than just a 5k!

It wasn’t easy for him (nor was it without some grumbling and statements of I’m not doing this again until after I get a new kidney), but he still put in those miles, and I am so, so proud of him!!

Let’s get him that new kidney so I can talk him into another one! https://upstate.donorscreen.org/register/now
