Meet Poppy, one of the beloved Animal-Assisted Therapy volunteers at Upstate Cancer Center. She recently shared smiles and snuggles with one of our patients—and the joy on both their faces says it all.

Poppy brings comfort and calm to those going through treatment and reminds us that healing comes not just from medicine, but from the wagging tail of a furry friend.

Today our Upstate Cancer Center volunteer, Mona, was honored with the Upstate Super Star Award! This award recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments and excellence of those in the Upstate Medical University community.

Mona has been a shining example of what it means to be an Upstate Super Star! Her positive impact on everyone she works with is truly remarkable. Mona consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty, all while keeping a smile on her face.
