Together in Caring hosted an ALCA informational meeting with Community Living Advocates of CNY. Thank you everyone who attended. I can speak for the group when I say how powerful and informative the 45 minutes were. Kathy Jacobs and Chelsea Crawford with , Melissa Murphy and Kimberlee Peterson from , and Becky Auyer, owner of Aging Alliance PT were panelist who shared ideas, thought starters, and answered questions from the group.

Winter in Upstate New York is beautiful… and brutally unpredictable. ❄️

From icy sidewalks in Albany, to heavy lake-effect snow in Buffalo and Rochester, to Syracuse’s long, freezing stretches — winter brings real risks for older adults. Slippery driveways, snow-covered steps, and cold-weather fatigue significantly increase fall danger this time of year.

Our caregivers provide warm, steady support all winter long with standby assistance, mobility help, companionship, and safety oversight — helping older adults stay safe, supported, and confident at home. 💜
