✨Thrive Women’s Healing Circle: “Transitions”
Looking for a space to soften? To not have to hold it all in? This circle is for women of color craving community and care. Expect gentle movement, a sound bath, journaling, and honest conversation around life’s transitions. Light refreshments provided.

✨Yoga + Sound Bath
So excited for this one! The Society is brand new in downtown Syracuse—a stunning social space designed for connection, creativity, and pause. Think: gorgeous interiors, curated drinks, and an atmosphere that feels like a getaway. We’ll flow, we’ll drop into deep sound healing, and then you can linger, connect, and soak in the vibe of this new spot.

✨Rooftop Yoga: Summer Send Off
Rooftop season is our favorite! I know ya’ll, it’s coming to an end and we’re closing it out with yoga, sound healing, and a sunset social hour. Let’s send summer off right.

Passion “work” lately ✨

I am so grateful to be a graduate of this program, so it was an honor to return to .cant.fail .—this time as a facilitator— virtually holding space for Black and women of color leaders to reclaim their time and redefine success on their own terms. We explored the courage it takes to pivot, the power of choosing rest, and the freedom that comes when we release who the world told us we had to be. Unlearning and taking your power back can be deep work but its worth it, keep going with Grace (Thank you for singing with me too)

S/o to for having me join in on a workshop with some great kids from Interfaith. We talked about how mental, physical, and reproductive health intertwine—and how intimacy is so much more than physical. We explored intimacy with ourselves, with friends, and with the people we can truly talk to. We discussed how to identify safe connections, why those relationships matter, and how they directly impact our mental health. The conversation was culturally relevant, honest, and real that normalized these topics in a way that goes far beyond “sex ed.”

In yoga offerings, the yoga and coloring collab with was FUN! Yoga is not just stretching—it’s creativity, movement, and freedom. We tapped into the power to birth new ideas, thoughts, movements, art, and more. Survival mode can stifle that power, silencing our voice and stiffening our movement. So we moved, sang, breathed, connected, colored, expressed, and celebrated.

And today, I shared part of my “Empowering Teams, Fostering Wellness” workshop with the new board at the D.O.P.E. assessment which is a fun, easy to understand personality tool based on the DISC model that helps people identify how they lead. It opens up conversation about communication styles, strengths, and blind spots, making it easier for teams to work together with more understanding and respect. It was beautiful to watch them laugh, learn, and discover more about themselves and each other as they build the foundation for their work together. Congrats to this team and thank you for the work you do!!

You deserve a hug sis 🫂 Let this world soften you, not harden you

As we ease into a new week, I hope you’re still holding onto the love and connection

Don’t sleep on the power of holding yourself. A self hug might seem simple but it’s medicine. It grounds you, calms your system, and reminds you that you are held

When you wrap your arms around yourself, you’re letting your body know it’s safe. You’re saying I got you. That’s what somatic care looks like. That’s self love in motion

So this week take a few moments to pause and hold yourself. In between meetings, sitting in your car, winding down at night. And when you can, get those soul-filling hugs in community too

Breathe with me

✨ Inhale through the nose and let your shoulders rise
✨ Exhale slowly through the mouth and roll them down and back
✨ Keep your head lifted
✨ Keep your heart open and protected

You are worthy of gentleness. Come back home to yourself again and again

Whew.. ✨
It’s easy to grow weary in the work—with all that’s happening in our communities and in the world. Easy to wonder—is this even enough?

But this month reminded me why these spaces matter. Why we gather. Why we keep showing up.

☮️For the 3rd year, I partnered with the City of Syracuse Mayor’s Office Against Gun Violence for their annual wellness retreat. Ya’ll do such important work and it can weigh heavy. We explored burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma. We moved through somatic practices, yoga (yes y’all got on those mats! 😅), and celebrated personal + professional milestones to remember the Joy and progress. This space was a loving interruption to the cycle.

🌇 I led Rooftop Yoga with over 50 people under the summer solstice. Over 50 of us showed up on that rooftop in the name of wellness and community joy. We asked: What does community mean to you? What does yoga feel like in your body? Your answers poured in: Joy. Freedom. Flexibility. Peace. Growth. Unity. This is why I teach. Thank you for the spinal checks, .charcuterie for the beautiful charcuterie, for sponsoring, and for capturing the memories.

🖤 At “Breathe ,Bro”, a Black Men’s Yoga Event with , I held an affirmation circle + sound healing. The vulnerability, presence, and power in that room… whew. To every Black man there—keep taking up space. Keep choosing softness. You are worthy.” I see the king in you…”

🌹 Sensual Yoga with was sacred. We practiced receiving, affirmed one another, and remembered that pleasure, rest, and softness are our birthrights.

These spaces are community care. Healing. Resistance.

They are rest. They are reflection.
They are necessary.

Let’s keep creating them. Let’s keep showing up—for ourselves and for each other. 💛

The girls were taking are of themselves this morning🥹
Some one shared with me that it’s their season to “Become HER”. To that I say , welcome home!!🌹

Thank you Shades of Inspiration Inc.having me for a beautiful morning at Sensual Yoga💐

This wasn’t just a yoga class.
It was a return to self, a reclamation, and a reminder that our bodies are temples—not battlegrounds.

Grateful to every woman who came with an open heart. May you continue to honor your yes, trust your body, and receive what’s already yours. 🌺

We dove into the concepts of sensuality, pleasure, and divinity.

We explored what it really means to be sensual—how we care for ourselves, how we slow down, how we find pleasure in the little things, how we recieve , how we rest.

Pleasure isn’t only sexual. It can be a song that hits just right, a deep breath, a warm stretch, a full-body YES.

It’s about honoring our truth—our yes and our no.
Tapping into our creativity, softening into rest, and letting go of the idea that we have to earn joy, softenss, rest, care, or love.

We practiced receiving. We affirmed one another. We did mirror work, moved our hips, and made space for softness.

We worked on opening the sacral chakra and clearing the energy that keeps us blocked or disconnected from our own bodies.

Keep showing up 💕

It’s always an honor to share space here ✨

Last month, we had a powerful group conversation about why rest can feel so hard—how family patterns, guilt, and the pressure to hustle can make slowing down feel… uncomfortable.

We talked about how rest doesn’t always feel safe when your body is stuck in survival mode. When high alert becomes your norm, stillness can feel unfamiliar—even threatening.

And this isn’t just mental—it takes a serious toll on our bodies. So many women are caregivers quietly living with burnout, chronic pain, hormonal imbalances, anxiety, and deep exhaustion- we deserve better.

We explored how rest is more than just sleep—and how we can start practicing it in small but meaningful ways:

-Saying no without guilt.
-Turning your phone off/ boundary setting.
-Taking a breath before responding.
-Being around people who feel safe.
-Doing something creative just because.
-Giving yourself permission to just be.
-Spending more time where the love and joy is.

We closed with a body scan to notice where we’re holding tension, followed by gentle stretches from the mat or a chair to help release some of what we’ve been carrying.

This work matters. Thank you for having me ✨

Mental Health Awareness Month is here—but it isn’t just a seasonal practice over here. I’ve been sitting with how surface-level so many of the messages can feel. 💭

Drink water. Meditate. Light a candle. Take a walk.

Yes, those things can help… but what about when the anxiety doesn’t go away after the bath? What about when you don’t see yourself represented in healing spaces? What about when your burnout is deeper than sleep can fix?

Radical wellness leaves us the space for grief, rage, joy, and rest. The kind that doesn’t shame you for being tired. The kind that asks:
✨ What is keeping us unwell?
✨ What does healing look like when we’re honest?
✨ How can we care for ourselves and each other—especially now?
✨What is keeping us unwell?

This video is an invitation to think differently. To feel more deeply. To remember that mental health is more than just coping—it’s about being whole. It’s about creating spaces that are truly allow us to thrive in systems never meant to hold us. It’s about the rage, rest, joy, sorrow, and every part of your becoming.

🖤 Watch, reflect, share with someone who needs this
