Our 8th annual Polo for Preemies took place yesterday at the Skaneateles Polo Club. A little morning rain did not stop the match, nor did it stop more than 500 attendees from joining to raise funds for Crouse’s NICU. The Crouse Health Foundation thanks all the volunteers, committee members and sponsors who made this day happen. Additional thanks to the SU men’s basketball team and Coach Autry for taking part in the festivities. It was a great event!

Say hi to four-month-old , Adley!

Adley's mom says: "Adley was born at just 30 weeks due to my severe complications. Crouse’s L&D, postpartum and NICU staff were nothing short of amazing. They saved our lives. Adley was in the NICU for 56 days total and the nurses never failed to keep us updated and in the loop. They calmed us when things were scary. They let us help with her care which made it a little less sad each time we left the hospital without our baby. We cannot thank Crouse staff enough for all they did for us. Adley is now almost 4 months old and thriving."

Many thanks to Fran and Larry Paige, who donated books to our NICU this morning in memory of their daughter, Meg who passed away 11 years ago.

Meg was a kindergarten teacher who would say: "If you read one book to your baby each day, by the time they are 5 years old they will have read 1,825 books!"

Each year, via Meg's Books for Friends, Fran and Larry donate books across the country and we look forward to giving them out to our NICU families.
