While his tenure as chair of the Crouse Health Board of Directors has concluded, his commitment remains steadfast as he continues to serve as a valued board member, ensuring the hospital's enduring strength and vision. Congratulations to our latest DAISY Award recipient: Jillian Roziock, RN, from Labor & Delivery!

Jillian was nominated by a grateful patient who wrote: “My husband and I came into Crouse Hospital to deliver our sleeping son at 21 weeks, 1 day gestation. We were so blessed to have 2 angels with us that day - one being our son and the other, our nurse Jill. Jillian advocated for me every chance she had to. She made sure I was comfortable, informed, she held my hand through every exam, cried with me, and on her down time made little bracelets and keepsakes with my sons name on it, that my family and I still wear and have today. She stayed well past the end of her shift to make sure I was settled and the oncoming nurse was informed of every single thing that happened the night before. Unfortunately, Jill wasn’t there for the birth of my son, but she checked on me periodically during the day even though she didn’t have to. She just genuinely cared and she made sure you felt that love and support during the worst day of your life."

The nomination went on to say that Jillian stopped in on her day off to check on the family. The patient wrote: "I can honestly say I wouldn’t have made it through the birth of my sleeping son if it wasn’t for her genuine love, support, and kindness. I can’t tell you if this job was made for Jill or Jill was made for this job but I can tell you that lives have breathed easier because Jill has touched them."

Thank you, Jillian, for all you do for your patients and their families.
