🌟Re-Introducing Myself 🌟

Hello! I’m Dr. Howard Walsdorf, often referred to as Dr. W by my patients here in Syracuse, NY.

Lately, I've been recognized as “the Four Element Doctor,” a title that reflects my passion for the four elements of nature: Fire, Air, Water, and Earth.

These elements embody an ancient wisdom that is rarely discussed today, and I aim to bring this knowledge back into the spotlight.

With over 35 years of experience studying and applying these four elemental insights, I believe you won’t find anyone as dedicated or knowledgeable about them as I am.

Hey out there!

My goal is to post more regularly. Some will be as today’s is: a beautiful sunny morning as I write this to you. Here’s my moment to inspire a holistic habit to counter the stress (and other strains of your life):

I was outside for a short chore and spied a sunny place with a wooden 4X4 timber – a good level seat for me to take in this morning’s sun. I found myself doing my 4 Element Yoga with its focus on slow breath-guided movements, bathed in this warming light.

I truly believe that there is something uniquely empowering to our human soul and our everyday life when we feel the Fire element of nature – our sun – in such a glorious way as when the air is cool as it will be for months to come;(

So, here’s your holistic advise: find your yard’s place where the sun shines (when it does shine) in the morning as you start your day. Actually of course, please do so anytime of the day when that photon-giving light energy is available on a cool day.

Take slow diaphragmatic breaths – as slow as you can muster. I recommend counting them. 1 - 2 would be a slow inhale and then a slow exhale. Try to be patient; 20 or more very slow breaths, enough to allow this subtle but soul-empowering moment to take shape.

What follows is a link to an 8-minute video talk by Christine Porath, a researcher who has discovered that experiencing rudeness affects not only your mental health and the way you interact with others - it will you “dumber”. You will test significantly worse as shown in a variety of double-blind cognitive tests.

I believe that the current wave of rudeness and bullying behavior experienced by young people, and ourselves are affecting us more significantly than we suppose. Experts suggest that our brains are stuck processing the rudeness we heard around us and unable to think clearly.
It might well be part of the playbook for wanna-be dictators and the like who have come to realize that continuously repeating rude, bullying, and mean phrases are indeed effective for numbing and dumbing-down a democracy’s collective brain.

The stress so many feel today is in part a weakening of our resiliency as a consequence of processing all the vitriol that a certain candidate is intent on putting out there.

Just a holistic thought.
