Friends and Families – We Need Your Help!


On 10/15/24, NYS launched a new billing/EMR system for providers and agencies, and it has been an epic failure, bringing everything to a standstill for the past two weeks. Tomorrow, our voices will be heard in Albany.

Please sign and share the petition and add your voice to help fix this system so agencies and providers can effectively support the children receiving Early Intervention services. Together, we can make a difference!

In an effort to make The Fair more inclusive of all New Yorkers, The Great New York State Fair has announced the addition of a dedicated sensory room and sensory-friendly hours. The sensory room will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. In addition, The Fair will offer a sensory-friendly day on Tuesday, August 27 from 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m.

We are excited to announce that Thrive By 5 will be providing Early Intervention ABA services throughout New York City in 2024! We are seeking part time and full time ABA providers who hold the following qualifications:

B.A., M.A., or M.S. and New York State Certification in one of the following areas:
- Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2 Certification
- Special Education Permanent Certification
- TSSLD or TSHH
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Licensed Master Social Worker
- School Psychologist
- Licensed Psychologist
- BCBA

The NYS Early Intervention Program continues to experience a severe provider shortage with approximately 50% of the children in the program are not receiving the services they need.

If you had a positive experience participating in Early Intervention PLEASE contact Governor Hochul and tell her about it. Ask her to support the program by signing new bills S6902/A6998, which would raise Early Intervention rates by 11%.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

The New York State Early Intervention continues to experience a severe provider shortage. Approximately 50% of the children in the program are not receiving the services they need. One way to keep providers as well as attract new ones is to raise current reimbursement rates, which are actually lower today than they were 30 years ago.

A new bill, A6998, has just been introduced which would raise Early Intervention rates by 11%, 7/1/2024.

It only needs the Governor's signature.
