Linda Dean Hatz ✨Integrative, evidence-informed mental wellness care for women. I am committed to working with you, and offering support to address the challenges in your life.

Therapist and founder of The Nurtured Collective, where therapy, nervous system care, genetics, and seasonal wellness support balance, growth, and renewal for thoughtful, whole-person care Hi, I am a licensed Therapist in Syracuse New York and have been practicing for the past 25 years. I have had the amazing opportunity to create a private practice that I can serve people both in person as well as through tele-health services. I provide traditional psychotherapy with an overarching holistic model focusing on the mind-body connection, health and well-being. My research over the past few years has tied together the synergy of mind-body work; nutrition, digestion, our physical activity, sleep hygiene as it impacts our mental wellness and feelings of overwhelm, stress, anxiety and emotional inflammation. Combining mindfulness, practices of gratitude and improving nutrition (including digestion) along with sleep hygiene are a few of the tools that I incorporate within my practice to serve you.

The Art of Wintering & the Gentle Return of Light

Winter is not a season of fixing or forcing.
It is a season of listening.

Here, we honor the art of wintering;

moving more slowly,
tending what is tender,
and allowing rest to be wisdom.

As February arrives, we begin to notice
the gentle return of light.
Not a rush into becoming,
but small signs of softening and readiness.

This space holds:
• seasonal rhythms and reflections
• nervous-system-informed care
• nourishment through food, ritual, and writing
• and an integrated understanding of how mind, body, and biology respond to stress and support

If you are here, you are not behind.
You are arriving.

Warmly,
Linda

February begins here 🤍
The art of wintering, with the gentle return of light.

This month invites us to move slowly,
to listen rather than push,
to tend rather than fix.

Today I’m sharing February’s calendar and journal prompts,
along with simple, grounding supports….from Golden Light Tea
(Recipe is on the page) to quiet reminders of how our bodies respond to care, stress, and rhythm (including the wisdom held in our genetics).

February isn’t about becoming.
It’s about noticing what’s stirring,
what’s softening,
and what light is beginning to return.

Take what you need.
Leave the rest.
Begin where you are.

Warmly,
Linda

Some days carry a quiet heaviness, and it isn’t always our own, but something we feel together.

When the world feels loud and heavy, I return to the sacredness of simple nourishment…another way to nurture our wellness.

This quiet bourguignon was made to warm the body and soften the edges of the day. I hope this brings you comfort, warmth and calm.

Take this as a gentle reminder that tending inward is not avoidance; it is care.

Con calma e con cuore 🤍

Warmly,
Linda

When winter asks us to slow down,
the kitchen becomes a place to rest.

Tonight’s dinner feels like a quiet conversation with Julia Childs…a classic recipe, learned with care, then softened to meet this moment.

Food cooked slowly.
A table set with intention.
A small offering of warmth.

Holding space tonight;
for comfort, for safety,
and for all of us living in a world that doesn’t always
honor these feelings.

may you feel a little more held, a bit more nurtured than you did before you arrived here

Over the years, my work has grown and evolved in so many directions; therapy, wellness, nourishment, genetics, education…and with that I’ve come to realize, for me, it has always been rooted in one belief:

Mental wellness is supported by the whole system.

This image reflects how I think about care at The Nurtured Collective… with gentleness, integratively, and with deep respect for each person’s unique biology, nervous system, and life experience.

Nothing here stands alone.
Everything is connected.
And care is meant to be held, not rushed.

More to come, shared slowly, shared with intention.

Warmly…and with much joy,
Linda

January: A Wintering You.

This month invites all of us into rest, reflection, and quiet tending; not as a a way of withdrawing, but as a way of learning how we want to move through the year. Listening to our bodies, our spirit before acting. Tending instead of pushing. Resting without guilt.

These are a few of my favorite winter images from home, small, ordinary moments that somehow take my breath away. Morning walks with this view. Candlelight. Stillness. Familiar rooms. The comfort of being held by what is known and loved. These little moments leave me with a sense of being sheltered in love, calmness, and nurturing.

This is the art of wintering for me: slowing down enough to notice, to breathe, and to tend what truly sustains me…us.

What are the moments that are holding you right now? How are you wintering this January?

Warmly,
Linda
