The Yule Cat (Jólakötturinn) is a gigantic, fearsome black cat from Icelandic folklore that is said to roam the countryside during the Christmas season. According to tradition, it visits on Christmas Eve, stalking villages and farms in search of people—especially children—who failed to receive new clothes before the holiday. Those who were hardworking and rewarded with new garments were safe, while the Yule Cat was believed to punish the lazy, making it both a chilling monster and a moral warning tied to the old Yule traditions.

We are looking to present a Paranormal film for the 2026 Oregon Ghost Conference at the Times Theatre & Public House. This could be any type of Paranormal film, not just a ghost film. We are looking for either a full length film or a couple shorter films. Documentary or Fictional. If you know of anyone we should contact or anything that might be nearing completion please let us know. Please send this to anyone you think might be interested.
