🎀 Wrapping Up Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Halloween Style!

Getting your mammogram is one of the best ways to take charge of your health. 💗 Early detection helps catch cancer when it’s most treatable—empowering you to stay strong and healthy for yourself and your loved ones.

Today’s mobile mammogram screenings help make preventive care more accessible for our community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who added a ribbon to our Wall of Honor to recognize someone whose life has been touched by cancer. Your love and support keep awareness—and hope—alive.

🩷 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🩷

This Indigenous Pink Day, we’re shining a light on the importance of breast cancer screenings. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Native women and the second leading cause of cancer-related death. Early detection saves lives! 🩷

Stop by the Takopid lobby and add a ribbon to our wall to honor someone you know whose life has been touched by breast cancer. Together, we remember, celebrate, and support those affected. 🌸

Let’s stand strong together as a community! ✨

Today we observe sləx̌il ʔə ti ʔacaciɫtalbixʷ (Indigenous Peoples’ Day).

We carry out our mission to care for patients on the traditional ancestral lands of the Puyallup Tribe, and with their support, we serve more than 12,000 American Indian and Alaska Native patients from over 300 communities, bands, nations, and tribal organizations. These are our people. We call this place home, our cultures are thriving, and our stories continue to be told.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a reminder that this land, these waters, and these communities are alive with history, resilience, and the strength of generations. Every day, we honor that by walking alongside our patients with care, respect, and dedication.

Here. Thriving. Together.

Recently, our residents and a group from Tacoma Family Medicine took a meaningful break from their busy schedules to participate in a cultural class in our Spirit House. Together, they learned about the significance of dream catchers in Native culture through stories and a song shared by our staff.

Afterward, everyone had the chance to create dream catchers of their own — each one made with care and intention to gift to someone special. 💫

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to share, learn, and connect through culture and community. ❤️
