This weekend was a moment of true meaning. One of our residents, who has lost close friends to Alzheimer’s, reminded me how precious every memory is. On Friday, we spoke about my plans for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and I promised her, “I’ll walk for your friends.”

I kept that promise, bringing her a surprise gift from the walk. Watching her gaze out her window at her windmills, I saw a quiet joy and reflection that spoke volumes. Her hug was a reminder that honoring those we’ve lost—through love, remembrance, and action—keeps their spirit alive. 💜
