Our communities deserve healing too.
Immigrant families carry stories of resilience—but also silence.
This Su***de Prevention Month, let’s break that silence with love, cultural sensitivity, and truth.
Whether you’re a first-gen child or a parent who left everything behind—your mental health matters. 🤎

Three ways to get to know your children:
1. Ask questions that have nothing to do with school. “What did you think about *INSERT EVENT YOU RECENTLY ATTENDED*?”
2. Pay attention to the things that make them laugh or smile.
3. Hang out with them when they’re playing or doing their homework or any activities they enjoy. Just be a presence in the room.

Hi I’m Phebe, your local Ghanaian immigrant therapist 👋🏿 and I’m here to share myself and my world with you.
Over the last few years I’ve grown from being a solo therapist to founding one of the most amazing practices I’ve ever experienced, with a team that continues to grow and blow my mind.
I’m an educator and ALMOST done with my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. Some of my fave people call me “Professor P”. I’m currently taking a break from the classroom but catch me on some student’s Zoom real soon!
I REALLY want my fellow Ghanaians, African immigrants all over the world and honestly you, to prioritize your mental health. So that’s mostly what I will keep talking about on this page.
I love to laugh so I’m going to be sharing some funnies here and there. You might even get to meet some of my other characters 🤭
It’s great to be back!
