The holidays are a bit overwhelming for people who are blind or have low vision. Going grocery or gift shopping can be a challenge on a regular day. Add the holidays to the mix and it can be a frustrating and exhausting experience.

I am grateful for the patience of others. I am grateful for the person that waits to hold the door open for me. I am grateful for the store employees who help me with a smile, and a kind of word. I am grateful when people give me a minute to find and gather my things. I am grateful to get through a check stand without feeling rushed. I am grateful for the kindness and understanding of others.

I am grateful to be part of the Hope Vision Foundation because so many people do not know where to turn for help or what resources are out there when they are blind or have low vision.

Hope Vision Foundation works hard to educate, spread awareness, share what resources are available. I grateful to be part of Such an amazing organization.

What are you grateful for today?

Many eye conditions are treated with eye drops. Glaucoma, dry eye and inflammation require drops to protect your eye health and vision. There are also important drops needed after eye surgeries.

This year several over the counter eye drops have caused problems for people including infections, loss of vision and death.

We want to make sure you know which drops are safe and which you should dispose of.

Here is a list of eye drops you should stop using right away. (see below link)

Make sure you talk to your doctor if you are worried about any of your drops. It is not recommended for you to stop any prescribed eye drops.
