The holidays are a bit overwhelming for people who are blind or have low vision. Going grocery or gift shopping can be a challenge on a regular day. Add the holidays to the mix and it can be a frustrating and exhausting experience.
I am grateful for the patience of others. I am grateful for the person that waits to hold the door open for me. I am grateful for the store employees who help me with a smile, and a kind of word. I am grateful when people give me a minute to find and gather my things. I am grateful to get through a check stand without feeling rushed. I am grateful for the kindness and understanding of others.
I am grateful to be part of the Hope Vision Foundation because so many people do not know where to turn for help or what resources are out there when they are blind or have low vision.
Hope Vision Foundation works hard to educate, spread awareness, share what resources are available. I grateful to be part of Such an amazing organization.
What are you grateful for today?
