Community means being there for one another, and this week we were proud to do just that. We opened our doors to residents from La Conner Retirement Inn while their town prepared for potential flooding, and what a delightful group they’ve been!

Our team spotlight shines on Aelexis! Aalexis has been working in senior care for more than two years now. She likes helping others and making a positive impact on people’s lives. On her days off, she enjoys going to the library with her one-year-old daughter, as well as painting and playing video games. We’re so lucky to have her as a part of our amazing team of caregivers.

Our resident spotlight shines on Judy! Judy is originally from Anacortes and has also lived in Des Moines before coming to The Village. She was a dedicated housewife for 51 years and has four children and “a handful of grands.” She enjoys bowling, spending time with family, making crafts, and watching movies. She feels that The Village is a “welcoming, warm place,” and we’re so glad to have her here with us.
