Residents from Maple Creek Senior Living in Lakewood and Tacoma’s Cascade Park Vista practiced—and today performed—A Christmas Carol for fellow residents and staff. Bravo 👏 What a phenomenal production!

From sound effects to vocal inflections, they had us on the edge of our seats—truly standing-ovation worthy. Under the guidance of Cat, our incredible Activities Director, this growing theater group is doing more than putting on performances; it’s bringing renewed life, purpose, and joy to everyone involved—on stage and in the audience.

To the 18 residents who practiced, performed, and poured their hearts into today: Bravo! We can’t wait for what’s next. Thank you for sharing your talents with all of us. 🎭❤️

At Cascade Senior Living Services, we focus on supporting wellness through consistency, nutrition, movement, and connection. Our team works every day to ensure residents feel safe, supported, and cared for throughout the winter months.

Food is more than nourishment—it’s connection, dignity, and care.

This year, our staff proudly adopted Eloise’s Cooking Pot, a Tacoma Food Bank, and turned generosity into community. Through fun, inclusive fundraisers—ice cream socials, wear-jeans days, canned food drives, and more—we raised $1,200 and donated 320 pounds of food, inviting both residents and staff to be part of the impact.

When SNAP benefits were cut in November, we also stepped up internally—providing $30,000 in grocery gift cards to staff in need. Because taking care of others starts with making sure our own people are taken care of.

Food truly sits at the center of everything we do—from supporting our neighbors to serving residents with dignity every day. We’re incredibly grateful to Chef Jim, whose thoughtful, resident-driven approach continues to elevate the culinary experience at Cascade Park Vista—creating meals that are not just beautiful, but genuinely satisfying.

This is what service looks like to us: heart, action, and showing up for one another. Thank you to our Funkateers Team for leading the charge to make the world better for all of us 🥕🤍

Washington’s WA Cares Fund is a statewide program designed to help eligible workers access long term care benefits if they ever need support with daily activities.

The program provides a lifetime benefit that can be used for services such as in home care, assisted living, adult day services, and other long term care supports.

This year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s brought together families, friends, caregivers, and supporters from across our community, all walking for one shared goal: a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. This year Cascade Park Gardens participated and we wanted to share some photos with you and also share the wonderful news that we $1,090 with our Cascade Park Gardens Team!
