Myofascial release is a wonderful self-care practice that complements your yoga practice. The fascia is a fabric of densely woven connective tissue which wraps around every muscle, tendon, ligament, bone and organ. Restricted fascia can limit movement and contribute to pain. Releasing tension & patterns of holding in the fascia and muscle opens the body to better alignment, fuller range of motion, and more ease of movement in yoga practice and daily life. Additionally, fascial release has a soothing effect on the nervous system, creating a sense of calm and centering.
