During our open house this past weekend at A Peace of Space, I was asked more than once:
✨ What Is Hatha Yoga? ✨
It’s been a while since I’ve been asked that question…
Hatha yoga is the practice of balance—between effort and ease, strength and softness, movement and stillness.
The word Hatha comes from Sanskrit:
☀️ Ha = sun (energy, action)
🌙 Tha = moon (calm, receptivity)
Together, they remind us that yoga isn’t about pushing or performing—it’s about finding harmony.
In a Hatha yoga class, you can expect:
• Slow, intentional movement
• Postures held long enough to truly feel and explore
• Breath guiding every transition
• Time to pause, notice, and reset
Hatha yoga invites you to move with awareness, listen to your body, and create space—physically and mentally. It’s a beautiful practice for beginners and seasoned yogis alike, especially if you’re craving grounding, clarity, and a gentler pace.
Come as you are. Breathe. Move. Balance.
I teach Tuesday evenings at 5:30 and Saturday mornings at 9:30.
