This past weekend the Citizens Leadership Team participated in Talladega's Annual Christmas on the Square. Who knew back scratchers would be a hot item to give away at our community event!! Thanks to all who stopped by to talk to us!

We have to give a huge shoutout to Chaplain Barbara Embry and the youngest Volunteer Chaplain in Citizens history!

Harper Freeman, a first-grade student at Ascension Learning Academy in Talladega, is very intentional about her servanthood and has created a beautiful Rock Garden that catches the attention of visitors at Citizens. Harper’s grandmother, Tammy Freeman, is the Employee Health Nurse at Citizens.

Here, Harper is pictured outside of Chaplain Embry's office window at “Harper’s Rock Garden.” In addition to painting rocks to brighten the day for Citizens’ visitors, Harper also visits patients at Talladega Healthcare Nursing Facility.

Recently, Harper received an Honorary Volunteer Chaplains Certificate for her work at Citizens! Chaplain Embry says Harper brings smiles to the many hearts that visit the hospital.

Way to go, Harper!
